| Hello, Does anyone know if a lab keeps records of past test failures sealed? I failed a pre- employment urine test 2 and a half years ago. I'm wondering if perspective new employers can find out whether a candidate for a job has failed drug tests in the past. The failure happened at a Quest Lab. Thanks. |

| I believe they keep the specimen's for 30 days. At any rate, another employer cannot in any way, shape or form obtain test data from another employer. Test results are not shared from employer to employer at all. Not even for DOT tests. The donor has to give a separate, explicit authorization for one employer to share drug testing records with another employer. |
