| Sec3 - After reading the tester point of view thread I have a question about the process for my test. It was a Quest test. The control form had SAP 5/50 GS/MC and SAP 5/50 w/NIT when it came from the employer. However, neither box was checked. The collecter asked a collegue and choose the SAP 5/50 GS/MC. My question is this - after I provided a 60 ml sample, he put it into another vial to be sent to FL to the MRO. Unless I missed something he did no test there...all he did was note the temp. Is that a normal process? Thanks! |

| He collected it for the employer. then it was sent it to a Quest Diagnostics lab (Probably in Schaumberg, Illinois). The 2nd copy of the form was faxed to the MRO. Then the lab will electronically send the laboratory analysis to the MRO to approve the collection, lab process and make a final determination of the results. This is basically all that is done for laboratory tests at the Collection site. |
