All right, this has been bothering me. I know that 50 ng is the most common pre-employ test. I can't remember if the test I took last year was a 50 ng or a 20 ng (I didn't pass - two neg dilutes).

I have the chance to reapply with the same company.

I'll be clean between 48-50 days when I take the whizz quiz at the end of this month.

I've been testing neg on the 50ng home tests (first void a.m.); second test got two very strong solid lines. I plan to continue monitoring myself.

Given the above factors, do you think I can pass a Quest 20 ng test? I threw away last year's results, but I'm thinking it might have been a 20 ng ua.

On your first pre-employment you had failed how many days were you not smoking before your took the test to fail?

I probably had about three weeks. Gullible fool that I was, I bought stuff off the Internet as well as a nutrition store, and got two neg dilutes. Of course, I passed three home tests last year before I took the ua and a second. I didn't bother to test myself without dilution, because I hadn't discovered this wonderful forum.

Ten years ago, I took a preemploy drug test, and passed with 42 days of abstainance.

Looking back on last year, I was probably okay before drinking that crap. I was just too panicked and scared.

Ya i just held off for 37 days and i was seeing how i held up compared to what you did. I took my UA yesterday and scared as crap for the results. I think your looking good for this one though you have some good lines the first thing in the morning how could you go wrong. And you have a lot of days under you belt, Im no expert but i think your all set

Lolo69, Remember to drink just enough to enable you to pee. With your length of time since you last smoked, I think you could pass a 50, 20 or 10 ng/mL test. Like I said before, don't be afraid to sit there and sip water in the collection office until you can pee. You don't need dilution, you'll be fine.

If you can pass a 50 ng/ml test, you should be able to pass a 20 ng/ml test four or five days later at most.

I was just talking to someone the other day about the 20 ng/ml test versus 50 ng/ml test. We did think though the more sensitive one was 25 ng/ml but this still works to some degree. All the home kits we have ever seen were for 50ng/ml. The half life of THC in the body can be anwhere from 1 day to 10 days on the upper end of the scale (although a few reports said it can be as high as 13 days). If you have been testing yourself regularly then if you know the day you first passed a 50 ng/ml test, you can take a worst case scenerio of either 10 days or 13 days and say that 10-13 days after that first pass on the 50 ng/ml test, your body should be at 25 ng/ml or less. Another half life and you should be at 12.5 ng/ml or less.
