Default Can they really watch you pee?

After failing a random test at work, I was placed on unpaid leave. HR send me to a local treatment center. While enrolled there I have to submit to a random UA every week. One my first one, I had some guy supervising my test, he watched. Since this is not Court ordered or performed by the Government, Can they do that? I complained to my company and all they said "that must be there policy and just jump thru there hoops so you can come back to work".
What I do find funny about this whole mess. Is going to this Treatment Center, and the residents there and the over all program. Most are there on Court ordered or sent by the State, Most are trying to get there kids back or avoid jail. I have classes to attend, like "skills for life", learning how to open a checking account, paying bills and such. I all so have to attend NA meeting, "Hi I'm DF, and I'm a recovering addict" ( your never recovered ), I feel bad because when It's my time to " Testify ", my story is very short with no drama of jail, living on the streets for years, leaving some unknown tweeker to watch the kids so I can pulling tricks to buy a rock or many years of misery. Most I bet would love to be in my shoes. This Is a slice of humanity I would not normally spend any time near.

Yes. they can observe. You have failed one test. The tests you are now taking are a return-to-duty, and follow-ups. Those can be observed (the return-to-duty should be observed, the follow-ups (up to 6 per year for the next 5 years) can be observed. It is up to the company policy.

Apparently your company wants you back. That is a good thing. Soooo jump thru the hoops and get back to work. Most companies now days would tell you "quit your bitching or find another job."
