I bought some of those specimen validity strips that I learned about reading the sticky. I am preparing for a ua next week. I've been abstaining the past six weeks, and will continue to do so until I pass next week's test, or until I get a job. For the record, I've pass four home tests (although three had really faint lines). According to the color chart that came with specimen validation strips, my creatinine was 20, or low normal, compared to 100 (considered normal). My sg was in the mid-high normal range. Everything else was the color it was supposed to be. Should I be boosting the creatinine with a creat supplement? I'm concerned that whoever is doing the test (Quest) will make a judgment call that does not fall in my favor, since it seems to be borderline. I used the speciment validation strip with a first part, first void sample. Also, how can one boost one's sg. I don't plan, nor do I want to dilute or sub using the info on this forum. Like I've said before, every day, I find something new to worry about next week's ua. I also plan to use Sec3's advice that he/she gave me in a p.m., which is to drink just enough water (16 oz) a few hours before the test, to enable me to pee, even if I have to sit in the waiting room sipping water.

I would make an effort to raise the creatinine levels away from 20 ng. Samples with a creatinine level of over 20 ng are acceptable. Samples right at 20 ng is on the borderline of "too-dilute" (2-20 ng)

I bought some supplements at the vitamin store. Even though I'm not diluting, I wonder about the low levels of creatinine in my urine. I'm going to boost it. My only concern is that these supplements dehydrate you, and I don't want to end up having to drink more water to compensate. Any thoughts on that (and thanks for your answer).
