Well, my ua is scheduled for next Thursday (7/27). I'll have seven weeks of abstinance behind me. I've taken four home tests, passed all of them. The sample will be tested by Quest, and may be a 20 ng. I've p.m'ed Sec3, who gave me some good advice about water intake.

I've also tested my urine with a couple of SVTs. My creatinine is borderline (SVTs were done with first a.m. void), and sg is comfortably normal. All other colors matched.

Couple of last minute questions: 1) My period just started. I know that it doesn't matter, but I tend to expel a lot of water during menstruation. Might this cause dilution?

Also, I plan to test myself again tomorrow, both with a home test and SVT, to see how the creatinine is. If the creat is still borderline, should I be supplementing. The creatinine that I bought says to take six tabs a day; can I possibly cut this down to three Sat and Sun, then see how I'm doing Monday or Tuesday.

I don't want to overthink this and cause myself to mess up. What do you think my chances are for passing. I know I'm begging reassurance, but I'm really nervous, not to mention scared.

You are not diluting, using your first urine of the day, and your creatinine is still borderline? You might want to consider a different brand of validity test. I personally think with 7 weeks behind you and testing negative on 4 home tests, you have nothing to worry about. If I were you, I wouldn't attempt to dilute at all.

About the menstrating; it isn't unusual to have blood in the urine. Also, none of the specimens I have sent in that were taken while the donor was menstrating were invalid or had a diluted result. You are not the only female to retain water before and expell it during or just after her cycle. None have come back as invalid or diluted because of the cycle. I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Thanks, Sec3. No, I am not diluting, I haven't been flooding my kidneys with water these past seven weeks thinking I'm going to "clean myself out." You're right. Maybe it's the SVT. Still passing the home tests with flying colors, with good lines. Think I'll return the creatinine supplement and get my $18 back.

I just want to add, too, that I don't plan to dilute or sub. I don't need too. I'm just concerned that I'm getting these borderline creatinine results. Any thoughts?
