Default My sad tale o' woe

I'm writing this because many of you were so kind to comfort and support me these past seven weeks regarding my upcoming ua. Last year, I bought some of that high-priced, detox crap off the Internet to prepare for a ua at the company that I have been contracting for the past two years. I came up with two neg-dilutes or "inconclusive" and the job offer was withdrawn.

I have continued working as a contractor for this company. In June, the second in command approached me and asked if I would like to reapply. My father had just passed away, and I needed a few months to settle his estate, clean out his house, etc. We set a start date of Aug. 1 and I was to have taken the drug test last week.

Well, the benefits/payroll clerk who sets up the drug tests and who lectured me last year on "zero tolerance" when she called to inform me of my negative dilute test results, took offense to my reapplication, even though I had been assured by the folks who offered the position to me, that the company attorney had cleared my reapplication in June. They also informed this witch about my re-application, even though she claimed last week that she knew nothing about it.

All involved parties are again waiting for word from the company attorney whether I will be allowed to take the drug test. I have passed six home tests, as I have been monitoring myself during my abstinance, so I am confident that I will be able to pass a ua.

At any rate, it doesn't look good. This D.A.R.E. mom of five is fighting my reapplication, that it is not fair to other employees who passed their drug tests, that the company is obligated to provide a safe, drug-free workplace to God-fearing employees such as herself, that we need to protect the children for they are our future, etc.

My work for this company has been exemplery and professional. I did not approach them about re-applying, they approached me.

It doesn't look good, but at least I'm clean, though missing my casual use of weed.

1toke, you were right. I worried and stressed for nothing. I didn't even get the chance to take the test.

I learned a lot from reading this board, and will continue to visit this forum as a proud freedom fighter.

Be brave, my warrior friends. I feel your pain.

You would have passed. At least you know what to do the next time. Good luck in the future and thanks for the update.

Perhaps this person blocking you from taking the test will be found to be overstepping her authority and disciplined. Sweet revenge, we can only hope.

Also, please visit the other forums on this website, the 420 Lounge, Cheba Cafe, all the rest. Very informative and entertaining.

I look forward to seeing a variety of posts from you in the future. - sec3

Yes, she is definitely overstepping her authority. There is still a glimmer of hope, but I am preparing myself for the worst. And, yes, I do plan on being a regular visitor to this forum.

Thanks, Sec3, for your pm's and reassurance. I really appreciated your time.

I wish you good luck too Lolo. There is no need to beat up people forever about this kind of stuff.

Well if you can pass a test, it shouldn't matter what happened in the past if you are being offered the oppurtunity to re-apply, no?

Default Update

Well, the person who offered me the job called the company attorney. She gave the attorney until the end of the week to respond on his original clearance on my reapp from June. If there is no response, she will take it as a yes that I can go through with the drug test. We still don't know what the attorney will say, however.

I went to my doctor and asked for a 10-panel test through Quest. I came up neg on a 50 ng for EVERYTHING! No dilution. I told the person who offered me the job that I did this. Those I will be reporting to thought it was an excellent idea, but I did mostly it for my own piece of mind and to let those going to bat for me that their confidence was not misplaced.

So, it has been eight weeks of abstinance, passed all home tests, etc. Still don't know if it will be a 20ng or a 50ng, but frankly after all the bs and stress, I don't care anymore. I've done everything that I can.

If I don't pass, then it wasn't meant to be in the first place.

When I asked my Doctor for a test I asked for it be have a GC/MS test so I could get an accrual count for nano-grams. I read on aonther web site that most labs won't do a GC/MS test if there own screen test passes. It should say on the results what they test at both of mine from Quest and LabCorps, Have a screen or initial test level at 50 ng/ml and confirm (GS/MS) test level at 15 ng/ml.
But be brave Lil BuckaRoo.

Well, it's too late to ask for that now. I'm looking at the report. The first part of the report says, "Drug Abuse Panel 10-50." All were negative.

The second part of the report reads, "...confirmed by a second indepedent chemical method." Don't know what this means.

Anyone?
