I'm a shoe-in to pass the THC test, I know this because I went 32 days and tested myself many times. However, I'm a little concerned that I may have diluted too much for my pre-employment UA. I drank a bottle of Gatoraid (the big one) and probably a few bottles of water. I pee'd at about 1:30 in the afternoon after voiding at least 3-4 times through the morning.

I took the test last wednesday and they had to mail it to NC, so it got there yesterday, I heard nothing on today (Friday). So I have to wait the entire weekend to hear on Monday. That sucks! I have all weekend to worry and figure out ways to worry and things that could go wrong.

Does anyone know if LabCorp runs integrity checks on all samples? Also, is it always up to the employer to decide if a negative - dilute will work? I hoping that since this is a pre-employment test they won't do an integ check, but am fully expecting them to do so.

So I happen to have integrity strips that I bought a craid medical, I never practiced because I wasn't planning on doing N2's dilution method because its been so long. Anyway, I replicated the amount of gatoraid and water and kept testing my Creatine levels to see how bad it was. Well, it's hard to tell on those strips because it's a color test, but it appeard to be between 10 and 20, and I know 20 is the cutoff. However, if I stare at it long enough I think I convince my brain that it matches the 20 color! Do they stamp it dilute even if it's a little below the required levels? I have all weekend to think about this crap... great..

You will probably be alright. If it is dillute it has been hotter than hell thus giving you a reason for consuming the liquids. Just stay clean and just drink some gatorade for a retest, I think a 32 oz bottle should be fine. You are already clean if you have passed your first pee of the day. So you really do not need to dillute.

I also bought some of the SVT strips from another vendor, because they were a little cheaper. They didn't come with instructions, so I had to hunt around on the 'net to figure out how to use them.

Like you, the creatinine seemed to hover between a 10 and 20 on the color bar. My specific gravity was high normal (second to last color on the chart, from the color it was supposed to be but still a pass). All the other colors matched.

According to the directions I got, you're supposed to stick the strip into your urine for just 4 to 5 seconds, then "blot it on the side" to knock off excess pee. From this I gather it means to just tap it a little bit.

Also, the strips aren't supposed to be exposed to sunlight (or daylight) I supposed. My dog knocked the envelope off the bed, and the SVTs were lying on the floor, exposed.

I even queried on this board a few weeks ago, and was told that perhaps I should try another brand. Seems like you're having the same problem I had.

Perhaps these things are just useless to us "self doctors."

I was concered about naturally diluting, so finally I just went to my doctor and requested a 50 ng through Quest. My test came back negative, no dilution.

Since it's pre-employment, I'm hoping they'll let me test again if I'm diluted. How often will a company interpret a negative-dilute as a fail and not offer another chance? Are there any federal guidelines on this or is it always up to the company?

Also, I wish I would have experimented a little more with the integrity strips, I feel like I know a lot more about that after I took the test.

I should know by Monday, I'll report my results. The stress that drug tests cause is ridiculous people, I'm not even going out this weekend because I'd be a dud anyway, only thinking about the results.

It's a pretty great job offer, but the worst part of all, what do I tell my parents if I fail? They know I had the offer and accepted, and are happy for me.

Most companies in my area, it is a one shot deal. You either pass or fail. I have read there are some exceptions elsewhere.
