Just want to add that on my recent test of a few weeks ago, I was told to fill just above the temp line on the cup, although I pee like a race horse and filled the whole damn thing.

Just a note: pee dirty into the toilet and give them something to listen to outside the bathroom door. If you're concerned that it will sound like your peeing more than what it is in the cup, drink less water before your test.

Here's another tip I read in Abbie Hoffman's "Steal this Drug Test." If you are a gentleman, sit on the toilet to pee, and press your legs together to muffle the sound of urine splashing into the toilet bowl, as you're filling the cup with your sub.

As Abbie says, "you will pass this drug test, you will pass this drug test." (God rest his soul.)

Then you can honestly say that you have no more pee to give.

Some employers require a split specimen of 30 mL each for a total of 60 mL. DOT requires a split specimen of one 30 mL vial and one 15 mL vial.
Some employers (like Target, Best Buy, Office Max) require only one single specimen of 30 mL.

The largest quantity an employer ever required is 60 mL. Most employers (including all DOT regulated tests) require 45 mL. Some employers (mostly non-DOT regulated) want as little as 30 mL.

So the place that I went to had the line marked at 60 ml then. Because when I poured my "sample" in, it went to the line. I just wonder what kind of pissing match {no pun intended} I would have gotten into if I had protested the amount. I guess I did not notice the Tech pour any of it out as she would have to, so the sample could be split correctly. The left over I mean. Maybe I will pack 2 of them next time just to cover my ass, even thought it is a DOT test.

The DOT requires a minimum of 45 mL. 60 mL is ok to use. I also use 60 mL if it is available, that way I don't need to worry about which label I put on which vial. The "A" label must go on the vial with 30 mL in it, while the "B" label must go on the vial with 15 mL in it. If I put 30 mL of urine in each vial, it is much easier for me. I can just slap a label on each vial, date it, have you initial it and send it on it's way.

If you had only given 45 mL instead of the 60 mL that the collector said they needed, she/he would have had to accept it and just pay attention to which vial they put which label on.

As I said before, what is asked for and what is required are two very different things.

Makes sense to me, Sec. I think it was last year I hired on to a place and they had the line marked way up on the cup, I think it was like2 1/2 to 3 inches up on the cup, and the employer called me to call the lab to confirm my RX meds, not a MRO. I only worked ther 2 and a half days and said screw it and walked out at lunch on the third day. I could smell thier bullshit and see it coming so decided I did not need that job even though it paid 18$ an hour starting out. I think we talked about this before Sec.
