How long does it take to get results? I'm worried because I tested Friday and I don't think my results are in.

Well, maybe HR was too busy to call you with the test results and you'll hear tomorrow. When were you supposed to start or have your started? How long were you clean? If you don't hear before eod tomorrow, call or email HR on Thursday and ask him/her something innocuous about direct deposit or what time they want you to start on Monday. Absolutely do not ask them if you passed your drug test. Assume that you passed.

Some people have posted here that a potential employer will not call if you failed your preemploy or came up neg dilute. If the latter case, some places will give you a second chance. In my situation, the employer called me last year to tell me that I came up neg dilute on the second test, and to joyfully tell me about their zero tolerance policy and that the job offer was withdrawn.

Really, we need more details about what you did prior to the test (abstain, sub, drink some high priced crap you bought at GNC or off the Internet) to give you our best educated guess.

Daily smoker x 15 years, clean 19 days with negative home test on "test day" and a few times before, used dilution, maybe too much. Tested on Friday, started work on Monday and still waiting. Another employee was not allowed to start orientation until hers was received. I'm worried.

You tested clean on Day 19 without dilution? That's pretty good. I know a prosecuting attorney who insists people come up clean after a few weeks, and she's pretty much faced every sleazeball criminall in the world.

Well, the fact that tomorrow's Wed and you're still there is a positive sign. They wouldn't waste their money on training and starting you if you didn't pass or came up neg dilute. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
