I took a test Thrusday morning, it's Monday night and still no word. Anyone?

My employer told me there waiting on the results from the lab. In the past it's been 24-48 hours. Kinda nervous.

It was the weekend. Maybe they were busy watching the Emmys. It seems like everyone has been waiting a long time recently so maybe there is a general backlog or something. I wouldn't sweat it.

Could be a million reasons - backlog, HR is too busy to get around to calling the lab or you, etc.

If you took your test last Thursday, that means the results probably weren't ready until Sat. Monday's busy at companies; your HR dept. could have been conducting an orientation for new employees, etc.

Anyway, you're not a priority to them. You'll hear today.

Still no word. Took it Thursday morning and it's now Tuesday night.

Don't know what to tell you, although it's only about 5:30 p.m. CDT.

It may mean that you didn't pass the test. Some companies don't bother to inform job candidates if they failed a drug test.

You can try calling HR and ask them something innocuous about direct deposit or your start date, and force them to tell you whether you passed or not.

As a rule of thumb, its not a good idea to call potential employers and ask if you passed your drug test. They'll wonder why you are assuming the possibility of failing.

You may still hear. Maybe it takes a week to get the results back. Hang in there, if you don't hear before eod Thursday, it probably means that you failed.

If you're going to continue looking for a job, I suggest abstaining from weed in the interim.

I know for a fact my sample is clean, it's really odd they didn't call yet.

Can you explain how you know your test was clean? Did you abstain for a long period of time, take a home test, dilute, sub, drink some high-priced, ripoff detox drink?

If your sample is clean, then you should be hearing soon.
