Hello, I recently took a pre-employment urine test using Quick Fix on Wednesday and found out today I failed because of my drug test results. They wouldn't tell me what about the test caused it to fail, but I think it was the temperature being too high. I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem, so here goes...

I bought the Quick Fix 4.0 kit and the guy at the smoke shop said to rubber band the heating pad to the bottle on test day. I practiced at home hiding the bottle on my thigh using my ipod armband to hold it in place on the top of my right leg. On the morning of the test, I made sure it was hidden and the heat pack was on it. I microwaved the bottle for 8 seconds and wore it (with the heat pack on) for about 30 mins before I left. When I got to the test site, I had to do the usual empty your pockets and go pee in the room by yourself. The test was at Quest Labs and they did have 2000 flushes in the toilet so they could check the color. They gave me a big cup and said to fill it halfway, but the Quick Fix full bottle only filled it about 35%. Since this was my first time subbing, I was a little nervous, but I was able to get the Quick Fix in the cup without making any incriminating noises (I didn't use the spray cap). I tried to pee in the toilet, but I was a little bladder shy and the little bit I peed was clear.

After that, I hid the bottle back on my leg and I didn't look at the temperature strip on the cup (I know to next time). I don't know if I was in there for too short of a time, but the lab guy was kind of suspicious when he saw the cup. When I got out, he asked if it was my urine and I (of course) said "yes". He wrote on my lab sheet (these are the actual quotes):

"Temp greater than 102; urine day glow yellow and odorless. No vacuation in toilet"

Has anyone had this problem subbing before? I know next time I test (for a different company), to leave it on me longer without the heating pad so it warms to the right temp. I was also thinking of taking two bottles so I can put a little more in the cup and some in the toilet to change the water color. The other thing I was wondering, is Quick Fix detectable? I have read it's not on sites that sell it, but I wanted to make sure.

This is the reason you failed.

The other observations mean nothing. If you are taking vitamins and have no other urine to give, there would be no extra to put in the toilet. The oder is also a bit alarming, but I personally do not sniff specimens .

If you pre-heat the bottle in the microwave then keep it crotched, you shouldn't necessarily need the warmer pad.

Also, people have suggested using your own urine in the test cup first to get a correct temp, then emptying it out and replacing with the QF. I did that (with my gf's clean sample) and the temp was perfect.

i went down to my local smoke shop and baught quick fix the guy told me its got many people though some serious tests..come day of drug test i warmed it in micro for 10 secs and then straped the heating pad to the bottle 30 min later she gave me the cup and i just made it in between the lines.. so i would get TWO bottles so your safe.. also they might check under your shirt so strap it to your leg some how
