how long does it take for aspirin to get through your system long enough to trigger false negatives if done properly? for example, if i get called to test could i pop a couple aspirin and actually piss in an hour ish? would i feel the effects in such a short time or is it something i would have to do hours and hours before the test?

i'm not completely ignorant by the way, i just couldn't seem to find anything about this.

It is right there at the beginning of one if not 2 or more of the dilution stickies. Yes, I am right. It has its own thread called aspirin and the dilution technique and in the dilution thread by N2. From N2's dilution thread:

Step 1. 4-12 hours before the test take 4 aspirin (not Tylenol or Advil). This step may be repeated every 4-6 hours up until 4 hours before the test.

From S2's thread on aspirin and dilution:

Test day.

2 hours prior to test I get up and urinate then drink:

1 quart of liquid, creatine supp. 3 aspirin, 4 rolaids

1hour prior

1 quart of liquid, 3 aspirin, b vitamin, 4 rolaids

1/2 hour prior

2 quarts liquid, 2 aspirin, 4 rolaids

Yes, and by liquids, your best bet is Gatorade or some other sports drink. Some have commented on getting blue or red tongues from different Gatorade/sports drink flavors, so get a yellow flavor.

yes, like i said, im not ignorant and have read tons of posts from this forum over the last couple months. my QUESTION was if 1-2 hours would be enough time for aspirin to contribute to the false positive... ?? i get tested randomly and i was curious if popping a few aspirin a couple hours before the test while i stalled would have any effect.

(yes, i've read the post, and have memorized much of what is said on this forum about substitution, dilution, everything)

sorry for sounding like an asshole, i'm just trying to sort out my thoughts and plans for how im going to approach random drug testing. thanks for the help!

Ok. well in that case, I might have misread the first post a little. Sorry. I can tell you the average elimination of aspirin and its metabolites but I am not sure how much is needed to fool the EMIT test. This site was the first time I heard about aspirin and the EMIT test.

no problem i have a hard time wording myself sometimes. but isn't htere some kind of uncoated aspirin or something? i forget the word, but it lacks some kind of outer layer to make it stronger and kick in faster. any ideas?

Coated aspirin is for people who have to regularly take it, like for arthritis or for their hearts, to protect the stomach.

You can still buy uncoated aspirin, just want to make sure that it isn't low dose, like for heart patients.

I'm no scientist, but if you drop uncoated aspirin into water, it does dissolve faster than coated aspirin. So perhaps there is your answer.

From what I've read on the dilution sticky, uncoated, regular aspirin seems to be the way to go.
