Before I can return to work I have to have a negative test. I have been taking test from my Doctor using LabCorp. Took one this week and they did a screen, I asked for a GC/MS so they screwed it up, again. The last test I had that was a GC/MS was 22 days ago it was at 20ng/mL, and 21 days before that it was at 44 ng/mL and 3 days before that one it was 51ng/mL. All & all, 80 days since I last got high. So should I be below the 15 ng/mL to be called Negative by now ? I don't have any beliefs on this "half-life" thing. I have read it's .8 to 13 days, well I went from 44 to 20 in 3 weeks, unless that's just the way my body is, I'm mid 40s 5'10, 160. If I come up positive I will be fired, should I chance it?

Well, you are the only one with something to lose if you fail so, your opinion is the only one that matters. If you want to chance it, go for it.

If you are worried, go to an independent testing facility. Not your doctor. Go to the facility and tell them you want a DHHS Certified laboratory test with the Lowest detectable level.
Don't just ask for a GC/MS test. cuz you are going to get the immunoassay standard 50 ng/ml cutoff and GC/MS if over 50.

They will make you pay up front for the test, but at least you have an independent verification. I have a feeling that your doctor may be milking you for all you will give.

Otherwise, If I were you, knowing what I know now, I would go for it.

I understand that, It's all on me.
I went to our local Quest lab outlet, but after talking to the ladie at the desk, gave her the note form a Doctor that said "test of THC level" she first said they didn't do that, she went from books to the computer back to the book and then came up with a answer, all she give me was that they will do a EMIT with a conformation at 20 ng/mL I asked for a "LDL" she said they didn't do that either.
So I'm back where I started. This whole drug testing thing seem like no one really knows what going on, except for you.

Well, any collection facility worth their sign out front could call any lab and order a LDL test. they just didn't want to put out the effort, or the manager was not there. You have to be in a position of management to be able to order a test like that from a lab. It is not that special of a test, but if it is not one of the tests currently contracted for, then a manager must change the normal routine (so to speak).

What I meant, is if I were you, I would go ahead and take the test for your employer. It has been more than 80 days. You aren't grossly overweight, and have abstained, tested....done everything you can do. Just do a dilution (not too much) before you test just to be sure. 22 days ago, you were at 20 ng/mL. apparently your 1/2 life of THC is about 20 days. That should mean you will be below 10 ng/mL when you test. Much less if you dilute a bit. You have read and studied the dilution method. Just cut the fluid a bit to ensure you will not receive a diluted result, and you should be fine.

Keep in mind that I have said this knowing that I have nothing to lose (except my rep on here) by telling you to take the test. You have everything to lose. It is a helluva gamble on your part, but I firmly believe you can pass.

If you don't take the test soon and get it over with, you will drive yourself crazy.
