test tomorrow

i smoked a very small amount yesterday afternoon. about 2 hits. then i found out i have to be drug tested by tomorrow morning for a job, less than 2 days after smoking. i hadn't smoked before then in at least a month and i'm a very infrequent smoker. is there any chance it won't show up since i smoked so little and do it so rarely? or is there anything i can do to make it negative?

i'm also on several over the counter and prescription medications. if i'm on stuff like that and tell them, will they change the result? or can they test specifically for marijuana?

Go get a home test and check your first void of the morning. You should be OK, but a home test will tell. DON'T tell them ANYTHING unless they ask.

They shouldn't ask you about your over-the-counter meds unless you fail. You get a "heads up" if you fail - the MRO calls you and will ask you what you are taking to see if anything caused the false positive. These days - contrary to what you read on the internet about Advil etc. - a false positive for THC isn't that likely unless you have a script for medical marijuana. After the MRO talks to you, he then reports the positive test to the employer.

If the MRO can't get you to confess on your drug screening they will do a GC/MS to confirm it positive. That is my understanding anyway.

Nope, you have it backwards. They do the GC/MS to confirm the results and get exact levels for the lab report. Then the MRO calls the donor to see if any prescription, OTC meds or foods may have caused the results found by the lab.

The only two that have no plausible or medical reason for being in your body are Marijuana and Methamphetamine. All others could possible be due to medications or food. Still, to maintain uniformity throughout the testing, the MRO will call even if the lab finds only MJ, Meth or both.

Let me make sure I got this right. If you test positive on the screening they automatically run the GC/MS before they call you.

Yes, before they even send the report to the MRO even. Then the MRO will call you.(not the lab).
