I have used the dillution/asprin method 5 times now and it has worked like a charm, but this last time after I pissed he checked it, and told me that I had to come back in the morning and re-test, and not to take any pills, I didnt ask Q's I just left, I was wondering if there is a test to detect asprin or the vitamin B in my system, all he said was to not take anything before my test, does anyone have any Idea what he saw. he used a tester that wasnt a traditional dip-stick it had about 6 round indentations in it, he dipped it in and waited about 3-5 min, and told me to come back, does anyone have any idea what he tested for, and is there any way to combat this? Thanx

Diluting has a very fine margin for error. Perhaps your specimen was too diluted. There is no test to see aspirin or vitamins. Neither are illegal substances and cannot be a cause for failing a test. The ONLY thing that I can think of is that your specimen did not pass the specific gravity test and was therefore interpreted to be too diluted. good luck. P.S. The collector should have done another collection right away, or sent the specimen into a laboratory for confirmation of his findings. In an employment situation, this is what would (should) have happened. You cannot be told to "come back tomorrow". In a court ordered drug testing situation, all rules are off and they can do whatever they want, I guess. Most people are too scared or intimidated to press the issue of following NIDA and SAMSHA guidelines.

I really don't have any experience so don't take this for much but from what I've read you should consider either substitution if you've smoked recently or just do a mild dilute.

A "dip stick" is not definitive. Did the guy send your specimen to a lab for confirmation? If not, any findings by a "screen" (instant) are only considered "non-negative" and not conclusive. You can fight a screening (without a confirmation) in court.

Looking back at this post, it is poorly written. I wasn't trying to imply you failed because your urine was yellow. If you did fail an adulterant or validity test like Sec3 suggested such as specific gravity and the tester noticed the vitamin yellow color he might have suspected dilution. To scare you into not doing it again he might have made the comment about not taking anything even though it sounds like from Sec3's post that he is really not following proper guidelines. So your really can't fail on color but he might have pieced it together and said that to scare you.
