Just because your company has money doesn't mean they are going to pick the most expensive drug test possible and one that is not using NIDA or SAMHSA recommendations for catching drug use.

i read the thread. I am still a bit baffled by all the different numbers..

but should I try to find out what company or test they use for these tests?

Is that a legal right?

it seems like they wouldnt do the lowest cuttoff because that probably would show a positive for second hand smoke.

I have the home THC tests I got off of ebay, what is the avg. cutt off for these home tests.???

If you know someone who has their chain of custody form, there are codes for the tests they are using. Sometimes you can find the breakdown of these codes on the lab's website, on this website, or other internet postings.

Most employers use 50 ng/ml on immunoassay. That is what most home tests are. Some use 20 ng/ml but that is rare.

The industries using LDL on a drug test are those in law enforcement (Like FBI, CIA) Some others use it as well, but I personally don't think you are subject to LDL. Your employer is probably using the usual and customary drug tests. It could be 5-panel or 7-panel, 9-panel or 10 panel (tests for that many different drugs, like THC, Cocaine, AMphetamines, Benzos, Opium, etc), but the cut-off level remains the same for each drug no matter what type of test you are taking.

THC - 50 nanograms per milliliter, the same as the home tests. Take one and see if you pass.

You know, I was thinking that 1toke and Jack were a bit harsh on you but then I read where 1toke mentioned how long you have been a member and how many posts you have. You are no newbie and don't need babysitting. You should have been able to find the answer yourself or at least been able to format your question so we knew whether you were asking about LDL or Detection times, because I am still pretty unclear what your first and second posts were asking for, since they seem to be requesting information on two different subjects.

We aren't all hard-asses, we just like when people are willing to help themselves before depending on others.

I am hearing that the cut off is 15 ng....

I have heard some here talk about there being a 20 ng cut but not a 15.....

anyway, if it takes lets say 4 weeks to get under the 50 ng level.... about how much longer would it take to get below 15ng ...????

50ng/ml is the cutoff for THC in an immunoassay test testing for the presence of THC.

15ng/ml is the cutoff for THC in an GC/MS test used when the initial immunoassay test has detected the presence of THC at or above the 50 ng/ml cutoff. The GC/MS is a test used to identify the exact chemical tested positive.

For example, a donor might test positive for amphetamines. The GC/MS can determine whether it was methamphetamine or some prescription medication causing the positive.
