I have had the pleasure of enjoying this informative site once learning that I will receive a UA this Friday. I am a moderate smoker, 140 lb, 5'10" female with high metabolism. The pre-employment UA will be given six days after my last smoke. This morning (two days before test will be given) I gave myself the First Check Home Drug Test with the morning's first void. The line appeared. It is faint, however according to the directions the presence of any line is considered negative. "Do not attempt to interpret the result based on how light, dark or faint the line may appear." I plan to dillute similar to N2 dillution's post. I think I am in the clear considering I passed the at home, which is 50 ng. Do you think I could pass a 20 ng drug test in two days time properly dilluted?

Couple of questions:

1. This one is a bit obvious, but did you see one or two lines on your home test. There should have been a "control line" and a "Test line". You only mention one line, so I am a bit concerned.

2. What gives you the impression that you will need to pass a 20ng/mL test on Friday?

Passing a home test using your first pee of the day, being a "moderate" smoker after only 4 days is rushing the limits a bit. I am concerned. I would recommend that you take another home test using a different brand of home test. Your "First Check" brand is reputable, but that is awfully fast to be testing negative. Just to be on the safe side, you might want to double check.

1. The control line was present as well as the cocaine line, which I do not use cocaine. Therefore, the THC line was present but appeared lighter than the control and cocaine.

2. I do not know if the test will be for 20 ng. I was under the impression that the pre-employment UA would not pass at 50 ng. Perhaps, you can clear up what a basic UA passes at?

Let me clarify how much I smoke... My boyfriend with who I live with is a daily smoker. I myself usually indulge on weekends and once or twice during the week. I suppose in the last month I smoked to get high about 11-14 times. I was a little surprised myself to see the passing home drug test with first void. I will probably retake a different brand for peace of mind.

Most drug tests, (random, pre-employment, post-accident, reas. suspicion, annual, etc.) test at a THC cutoff of 50 ng/mL. It is very rare to have a drug test that tests at less than that normal cutoff level.
