It's been 7 business days and the lab nor the HR person called. So i called the HR person to see what's up and she told me that i passed the criminal background check but couldn't locate the drug test results. Is it possible for the lab to loose my stuff??? I don't think they did an EMIT test since the MRO is in Penn. and i live in Houston, or am i incorrect and the place where i pissed is just a collector and they always send it to someplace else to do the test??? Please give me some info on this b/c i'm a little nervous. I hadn't smoked for 3 1/2 months and only smoked 1/5 of a joint 9 days before taking the test. Drank 8 glases of water and had a full bladder just to be sure. Should i worry if they even did the chemical test???
P.S. did pass a home drug test 4 days after smoking on my second void of the day.

Very possible. That is why the warning has been made several times on both drug testing forums......Don't smoke until you get your results back. There is always a possibility you might have to retest. As the saying goes: "Shit happens"

well, should i worry about them doing the expensive test on my urine w/ the info i gave you??? And do they normally have a collection site and a test site at different places???

Specimens do get destroyed during shipping. Your specimen was shipped to a lab somewhere in the country (depending on the particular lab the employer uses), and the MRO must be totally independent from the lab to the point that he/she cannot even own stock in the laboratory company. That is why the MRO is located in a different state.

Also, some companies have locations nationwide, but have one central location where the drug program is administered. That one central location could be in the state that houses the corporate offices or the state of the hired third party administrator. (A hired company to administer the drug testing program).

If you have your copy of the collection and custody form, you could call the HR and give the number at the top of the form to prove you actually took the test.

If you are required to re-test, don't drink so much water. Just drink normally (1/2 glasses of water within a couple of hours of your test). You will pass if you have not smoked mj in the past 3-4 months. You don't want to risk becoming diluted unnecessarily.
