Hi - my sister smokes a few times a week and is considering using her breastfed baby's urine to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Does anybody know if this will work? The baby is 6 mos. old and is also using formula and eating baby food.

How in the world is your sister going to stand there and wait for a 6 mo. old to pee; and in a cup no less. I guess what they say is true: Timing is everything . (home testing works wonders)

Answer to second question, no it's not just you. It might be just the 2 of us, but you aren't alone.

I guess that piss is piss. It must be because it's a baby. I don't know, it takes all kinds to make the world go around.

I would advise against using an infants urine. If I'm not mistaken newborns contain very different levels of hormones than an adult. It may very well be aparent what was done, and she could easily have her child taken away. My .02

Hormonal levels are not tested in a urine sample collected for a drug test. The labs are only allowed to check for drug metabolites; plus creatinine, ph, specific gravity, and nitrite levels.

Cool, thanks for letting know. I was a bit concerned from some stuff I've heard about newborns having GHb (an abused substance in the U.S.) in their system naturally, not sure what kind of panel test this ladies being given, or if GHb is even tested for as it is not a very common drug. I could easily be wrong, I just try and give advice that I would give myself in the same situation, this one seemed a bit risky to me.
