Heres my deal... I have a pre employment test tomorrow afternoon. I stopped blazing 15 days ago(Oct 30). Before that I averaged 5 bowls during the week and about 6 on the weekends. I am 23, male, 6'00", 185 lbs, and I exercise once or twice a week. I am in decent shape but have gained about 10 lbs in the past year, though my metabolism is still pretty good. I have been taking Niacin and Centrum for the past week or so and started taking Creatine yesterday(thinking I would have to take the CHF drink from GNC). Moving on... I took a home test this morning. I believe it was a First Check Home "Drug" Test, just for pot(I got it at CVS for $14.99). I was sure to use my first urine sample of the day, mid stream. The test was negative, although the line for THC was lighter than the control line. I know it says it makes no difference if one line is lighter, but the fact that it was the no THC line still makes me a little nervous. My question is, am I in the clear? How reliable are these home tests relative to the lab tests used for pre employment screening? Obviously, I am still going to drink a ton of water and cranberry juice between today and tomorrow and take Vitamin B12 before the test. Any input would really help me, thanks for reading my post!

If you drink too much, you will get a negative dilute on the test, which isn't passing. It's posted someplace how reliable the home test are. I think like 99%.

I tried these really flimsy litnis paper tests that were from a headshop, looks like it cost less then a penny to make them. I failed everyone time and time again, yet 15 minutes later I passed a probation test which uses the "nicer" ones...the ones that look like a "sega genesis game cartridge" if you know what I mean. I use meditests.com THC tests, but not the dip stick kind. If I pass them, I pass every other test.

Many thanks to the two of you. I got my employment packet in the mail today and called the company's health center right away to set up my test for tomorrow (I knew my test would be tomorrow because a friend who works there told me they try to have all tests done by Wednesday for people starting on Monday). When the lady on the phone asked me to get a sheet in the packet that I would bring to the test, it wasn't there. She said it would not be a big deal and I could just take the test on Monday after the new employee seminar. I think her exact quote was, "They try to get the tests done 48 hours previous to starting but its really no big deal." Long story short, because of the forgetfulness of the HR department I get a few more days to lose whatever was in my system. Considering I passed the home test this morning, which was almost identical to the "cartridge" test that factory81 directed me to, I am guessing my chances of passing whatever test they have at the office on Monday (she told me it was going to be on-site). So I am pretty much in the clear?
