I got a job, and then found out I had to take a drug test. My boss is pretty cool because I told her I smoked but I'd not ever do it on the job, and it wasn't a big deal. However she pulled me aside when I went in for my first day and she said that she'd give me a month but that I still had to take the test. I have quit for the time being, and I plan to take the test after about 28 days of having stopped.

Unfortunately, I am about 6'2'' 220 pounds, and I don't exercise very much (maybe 20 minutes a day). I really do not want to disappoint my employer by coming up positive. Anyways, I have read at various places that it can show up on urine tests for up to three months. I smoked about 3-5 hits a day for probably 4 years. Anyways, I am concerned that I will not pass, and even though it probably will not cost me the job, I just would prefer to avoid the embarrassment of coming up positive.

Anyways, I suspect that I likely will pass, and don't want to jump through a bunch of hoops to try to mask it, but drinking some water or diuretics would probably help. My question I suppose would be, would it be worth trying some tricks? Drinking water? And if so, is there an ideal amount of water to drink so your urine will be somewhat diluted but not so much that it might come up clear? Lastly, I potentially could take the test after 35 days but hope I don't have to wait that long if it's not likely going to change things much.

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

I've been reading through these postings, and I see that the regulars to this forum tire of hearing the "will I pass" questions. I wish there was better documentation of body mass/techniques and their success rates. Anyways, if anybody has similar circumstances it still would be great to hear some advice.

The first thing anyone facing a drug test of any kind should do is stop smoking.
Get yourself some home test. Check your first void of the day about a week before the test. If you test hot read the dilution sticky and follow the directions carefully. You could also sub for a pre-employment test. Read the substitution sticky for information on subbing. Unless you decide to sub, stop exercising 4-5 days before your test, to avoid releasing more THC metabolites.

3-5 hits a day for probably 4 years? If ur being honest on that you deffinately need to get the hometests and do what 1 toke said. hes right on. you got atleast 4 years of thc in any fat u may have on you.

I know a guy who quit smokin for 90 days and still was failing on pisstests. He was a daily smoker for many years as well. so i wouldnt be too confident without taking the hometests. get them from any local drugstore.

Yeah I'm gonna get the home test. I think it would probably be good for me to dilute. I am not an active person though so I think I'll try to risk not getting much exercise. But whatev, I don't think they'll fire me, I am the only one they really wanted to hire so I don't really have competition. Anyways, I think that I will get the home test, test myself, dilute and test again. I will try to find the right combination. Thanks for the advice.

I fraking passed the sh** out of that test. Ironically I want to smoke a bowl to celebrate. This was just a home test though so of course that would be a terrible idea. I drank 3 cups of coffee today (my usual) and about 2 glasses of water. Might be enough to come up dilute i suppose, but the urine was still yellow so probably no big.
