| Hey Tokers, I just took an at home Urine Test and the results showed me a VERY faint line. When I say faint, I mean faint. It was almost impossible to see and this basically showed up right after I dropped it into the sample. If you looked at it dead on, you couldn't really see a line, but if you looked at it an an angle, there was a slight line? Is this still a negative result? Sorry, I know you are asked this a lot but these damn at home tests could provide better results if they were designed differently. |

| If it showed as soon as you dropped it in, it might be a bad test. But as a rule of thunb if you can scan it and it shows up and you can see it then it is there [Sec3 said that I think]. But if you can see it then a line is a line wich is negative.

Maybe you should try another home test with your first void of the day. It may be a bad test like Hawg says. | |

| If you're curious to see what the true negative line looks like, dip a home test in some water as a control. True, faint line is still a negative, but when the lines are very faint it means the concentration of thc metabolites is probably just a little below the threshold, and then the paranoia sets in about whether the actual test you'll take is just a bit different, or maybe your home tests are a little off. Just keep at it ![]()

| Not to steal this topic or anything but.. I am 6ft 187lbs, dont do much 'exercice' to say, but I am very active as a tow truck operator. I was a habitaul marijuana smoker, smoking between 5/6 joints per day for the last 2yrs .. recently I have stopped, Nov 27th being the last day, I was curious to see my result so I purchased the First Check test and performed this test on 12/13/06.. and my result didnt look very promising.. ![]() |

| I can totally understand why the results described by herbiestheword and photographed by thexw really wouldn't give you the swell of confidence you're looking for in a home test practice run. But I can tell you both that I had a similar experience with my practice home tests. The first test, which I took without dilution or any other techniques just for control purposes plus curiosity because I hadn't smoked in 25 days, was scandalously positive for THC and expectedly negative for every other panel. The next day, I took a test after using the dilution + aspirin technique described in S2's sticky. My positive line for THC showed up looking very similar to the line in thexy's photo. 2 days later, (and 2 days before my test) I took another test after diluting with aspirin, and the line was barely, terribly indiscriminately visible (though noticiably different from the other panels). Two days later I took my official Immuno-Assay pre-employment drug screening and passed with no issues. I want to stress that S2's dilution + aspirin technique has worked for me twice now. I highly recommend it. However, I have tweaked it a little (and maybe this is just what works for me). I hydrate with Gatorade, but I don't add the salt. Instead I buy the powdered Gatorade and use very concentrated ratios of the powder to the water, sometimes mixing in the creatine to multi-task. I also don't seem to need the rolaids or tums, and just take a multi-vitamin (+minerals) with my B supplement. The reason I leave myself two days and cut out the salt and tums is that this regimen can sometimes really upset my stomach and make me feel really uncomfortable, sometimes even immobile. Be careful with the aspirin, make sure you don't have any special conditions and don't exceed the recommended dosage. But as long as you drink the water to dilute, take the creatine to add creatinin, use gatorade and/or salt to keep your electrolytes up, add enough minerals, and throw in some B vitamins to make your urine sunshine yellow like an obedient upright citizen you should be fine. The aspirin will back you up with its false negative qualities in case dilution alone fails. If you know you're taking an immuno-assay test, BUY HOME TESTS. I also wanted to point out that if you look at the test in thexy's photo you can see in the lower left hand sign they identify the results that are considered negative. The second option seems to me to damn near match the result he got from his pee. It may not look reassuring to the test taker, but a line like that is a negative. |

| Is this pic from the future? It says 12-19-06 on the test label yet it was posted 12-14-06. GC/MS blues, FakeBoobs pointed this out to you in another post, but the aspirin causing false negatives only seems to work on EMIT immunoassasy tests. Not all immunoassay tests are EMIT immunoassasy tests. Also, you have to be close to the cutoff. If you are off the scale positive it will not help. |
