I just smoked pot last night and in 23 days I have to go to court. After that I may very well be on probation, so Ill get a piss test. 23 days is not long enough to wear out the cannabinoids still in my body, attaching to my fat cells is it? It takes more like 4-5 weeks than 3. So what do I do? I dont want to fail that piss test if i have to take when if i get on probation. Should I excercise alot or something? Im not fat, im like 5'7, 150 or so. Please help me here I dont know what to do I could have a drug test coming for me soon that im not ready for.

You should be alright. How long has it been before you smoked last?

If you really worry about it hit the gym and run and sit in the sauna up until your court date. Just try to burn fat, thats where the THC is stored so that bad fat is what you want to get rid of.

I don't know where you live but here in Houston, TX the first drug test for probation you won't get into too much trouble for failing, just a long boring drug rehab class that you have to pay for. It is definitly easier if you pass them all but you shouldn't get just thrown in jail for the first one (I guess that depends on what you're charged with also).

Anyway, just hit the gym and get a home test before you go to court to test yourself. You should be fine.

Check the NORML website. Do a search for cannibus detection times. New research suggests the abstience for 2 to 3 weeks for a very heavy users. I can say for myself (5'9", 165-170lbs, athletic build, moderate-heavy smoker of Kush and MK-Ultra with high metabolism) I've only needed anywhere from 3 to 7 days clean out. Keep in mind I was applying the aspirin/dilution method during both tests. My thanks to those who have provided results, experience and tips to educate people faced with similar circumstances.

Keep you diet high fiber/low sugar/low fat up to 2-3 days before your test time. Then switch to a high fat, low fiber diet. Personally, I munch on burgers and steaks those 2-3 days before the test. Though abstinence is the only effective method, modifying your diet can help produce a desired outcome. Go to Borders or Barnes and Nobles with a notepad and check out the books on natural cleansing. Many of those drinks are just herbs that can be purchased for liver and kidney cleansing with added creatine. These books can help you determine what types of food you enjoy can be used to aid the detox process. They also detail which herbs are beneficial for detoxing specific bodily systems. Usually you can find these books in the Health/Diet or cooking sections.

Stop smoking now and about 5-7 days before your test, take a home test with your first void of the day. That will tell you if you are clean naturally. How long it takes to get clean varies with each body type and metabolism. It is possible for you to be clean in 23 days. A home test is the only way to tell. In the meantime read the dilution sticky so you will know what you have to do if you aren't clean.

yea, man, i would check out NORML, but i would say 23 days is enough to get clean for a test. just dont smoke right after your first incase you have to retest. you never know. but i would say dilute the urine so they just do a retest anyway....they do retest and you come up clean cause you havent smoked in 4 weeks or so...

Frustration! I log on and I instantly see two of the most irritating things. First of all, I made a comment about that NORML study a few days ago. I said the following on 12-07-06 about this study and I stand by it.

As much as I like NORML, I HATE this study they issued about Detection Times Shorter Than Thought. It is giving some people false sense of security because there are plenty of people who I know personally that have taken 2 months to get clean as well as people who come on here freaked out because it is taking them 2 months to get clean. Just on12-06-06 I was (and other members) were writing to a guy who was at day 55 and still dirty. I linked him to another member who took 50 days and I am going to link the thread again. I can find plenty of people who took longer than 30 days to get clean if I search the posts.

It all varies from person to person and it can be anywhere from 5 days to 60 days depending on smoking history and because THC half life varies from 0.8 days to 10 days depending on the person . The record on this site is 105 days. People are going to read that study and take from it what they want to hear, which is they can get clean quicker than thought and go out and fail. People don't want to believe that their body might be slow at metabolizing THC metabolites. People want to believe the are invincible and healthy and fast metabolizers and this study is co-signing their bullshit (a term I have heard a crazy professor use for when you know something is wrong but if you ask enough people some will tell you it is ok to do it so you found someone to support your bullshit). Some people may have a short THC half life, some people may have a long one. This study can in no way predict which one every person is. Even if the study said 95% of people can pass in under a month and 5% will pass if it is longer than a month, how can you possibly know which group you are in unless you conduct scientific studies on your urine. Here are some more people who were dirty after 30 days.

Next, on to this guy's specific problem. Jack Bauer pointed out something very important, what his smoking history was before "last night." Was that the first time he smoked all year or was he smoking two ounces of dank or KB or white widow every week for the last year and "last night" was the last night he smoked. Did he smoke on occasion but "last night" he thought he was going to jail and smoked and smoked and smoked until his eyes bled? He hasn't given a complete history yet Amun tells him 23 should be enough and Joel223 tells him he is going to alright. If he fails his test for probation are either one of you going to go to court for him and take his place in jail? Pulse, remember you are the one who has something to lose and not anyone else. Hell, I don't even think pulse has logged on since posting his question. You should stick to facts and not guesses because at this point without pulse giving all the info that is what both of those statements are, guesses. 720nm to 880 nm suggested that horrible study but he does make it clear that as far as his body it took him 3-7 days and he was using dilution but that damn study. 720nm I quoted part of your statement because you gave good advice about the diet until you told him to switch to high fat/low fiber. The high fiber should be continued up until the actual tests. There is evidence that soluble fiber can help eliminate THC metabolites from the body because of its ability to bind to bile and fat in the GI tract. I also disagree with all those detox herbs and stuff. Those herbs might help your body detox or make you feel good but I have yet to see any proof that there is a connection between these herbs, their effects, and their ability to help eliminate THC metabolites from the body. You can't make your kidneys work better.

One more thing Amun, you don't always get a retest for a dilute sample. You are lucky to get a retest in fact. More bad advice.

In my opinion NORML has some bad info on drug testing. I don't know why. I guess somebody does an article and they publish it on their website. I have nothing against NORML except the drug testing info they have been putting on their website. It's not very responsible thing to do. Many people swear what is on their site is the truth, because after all they are NORML.

Check it out for legalization news, NOT drug test info.
You don't know that and neither does anyone else. Everybody is different. Only a drug test can tell. Home test or lab test.
Not everyone offers a retest. People that get one are very lucky.
