ok so i applied for a job, and i have the interview next week, which at these types of places(retail)means i probably have the job. ive smoked quite a bit this past year or so, and i know ill have to take a drug test, the last time i smoked was maybe 2 days ago. so the test will probably be in about a week and a half to 2 weeks...if i drank constant water for this period of time as well as cranberry juice, is it reasonable to say ill be fine or am i pushing it?

Many employers send an applicant right from the interview to the drug test. They will call me to schedule the drug test with the applicant sitting right there. It is hard to say to your prospective employer when they ask "Can you go to the drug test now?". They know you don't have to be anywhere right then, because you are in the interview and didn't know exactly how long the interview would take. Now you have to say "No, I have to be somewhere in 10 minutes". Most drug testing places take "walk-in's". That means I will tell the employer to send the candidate over. We can do the test right away.

You may not have as much time to prepare for a drug test as you think.
