Have been reading the forum and there is so much good information. I think it is sad that we have to do this in order to hide something that should be legal. Anyways... I have not smoked since Thanksgiving of last year. It has been about 53 days since I last smoked. WOW it has been a long time. I smoked every day for about 15 years. I am going to take a home test just to be sure. I have realized that in order to get a good job I have to take a drug test and I figured abstaining for a while would be a good trial for me. What do you think? Any reply would be helpful.

RUsmokin, if you live in Vegas, and are applying to work at a casino, keep in mund that most of the casino's utilize hair testing as opposed to urine testing. That means you would need a minimum of 90 days to be able to pass relatively easily.

Abstaining is always a good idea if you are looking for work, as you don't know what type of testing an employer uses. You may need to lay off the pot for about 40-50 days longer before you can be assured that you can pass a drug test.

I hope you find that great job you are looking for, just remember, there are many types of drug testing, not just urine.
