Smokers, ok, I need everyone to contribute to this one. PLEASE! I went to a clinic today, voluntarily, and subbed using some clean piss. I've been practicing tucking my 2.5oz bottle under my nuts and going about my regular activities, and I've been able to maintain a steady temperature of 94-96 degrees. Well..........when I subbed at the clinic today, the container only showed a reading of 90-92 degress, which is WAY TOO LOW FOR MY COMFORT. But its weird because I got them to give me a cup to bring home and I pissed in it only to see that my own dirty piss read a 94. Is the plastic too thick and not reading correctly?? Anyway, I have these adhesive heating pads that will heat my piss up to 102-104 degrees and I plan on using these come time. If the temp sticker reads too high of a reading, I will just blow on it to reduce the temp to the desired level fo 96-98 degrees. WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR MOST SUCCESSFUL TECHNIQUES FOR KEEPING YOUR SUBBED PISS AT A REASONABLE TEMPERATURE.... AND WHICH IS THE BEST?!! THANK YOU ALLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]()

By the time most people pee in the cup, set the cup down, pull up, zip up and whatnot, then open the door and I see the specimen, they are almost always 94-92 degrees. I never get a specimen that is 98 degrees, that would be cause for concern. Either the donor has a helluva a fever, the specimen was artificially heated, or I was observing the void and had access to the temp strip immediatly after (within 10 seconds) of the void. Dont stress over the temp being 94-92 degrees. That is the normal range by the time we view the temp strip.

sec3, thanks for the reply. I guess I will not try to keep the temp at 98 when I hand it to the collector. 90-92 is still too low for me so I will try to have it at 94-96 degrees at the time of the handoff. No flags would be raised then correct??? I figure a 92 deg sample may cause cocern but not 94 or 96 right?

94-96 deg will be fine. Its expected for a temperature drop to occur when transferring heated liquids to a cooler container (in this case, a collection cup). The cooler the container, the more drastic the drop. Keep this in mind if youre taking a drug test during the hot weather season (especially since most clinics tend to have their A/Cs jacked way up, no doubt chilling every person and item inside, including the unused collection cups in the storage cabinet!)
