So I went in and nailed the 1st interview...given my test results (aptitude,abilities not urine) they will call me back for a second early next week. My Q is..

Has anyone ever been to a second interview where they made you take a test on the spot? I have heard [unnamed company] does, but that is saliva.

Basically what im getting at is do most companies use a 3rd party tester for piss results? Or has anyone ever been in a situation where the company actually brings you aside and tests inside the building, during an interview?

The scene at the company I work for:
Interviews were done a week prior. 15 people show up for a plant "walk-thru" and second interview. HR person passes out consent forms for hair drug test, with collector standing by to take the sample.........8 of 15 people leave deciding they didn't want the job.

Which in my opinion didn't make sense that they showed up in the first place. The job was advertised that you would have to submit to a drug screening test.

I plan on being ready for the saliva or blood test, I didn't think about hair though. I just want to be ready to sub.

Anyone have any input/personal situations similar? I just wish i knew what they were going to give me! I am thinking I might just wear my sub kit into the second interview, even though i doubt they will make me take it on the spot.

My last employer at a factory, had a testing facility in the plant (a mini hospital). I was tested after interview. however I knew I would be tested so I didnt smoke for a couple of months. It was a urine test.

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. The company i'm interviewing with seems to have a fairly small office, I'm sure they don't have a "mini hospital"...I think i may have to wear my sub though, and get a couple of samples from friends just in case i have to discard one.

You don't need a hospital or clinic to conduct a drug test. All that is needed is a bathroom.
