I made a post with a ? about a statistic which might give you an idea of the percentages of companies who use different types of drug testing. Nobody responded so I decided to work on my own.

This is based off of companies in the state of Colorado, compiled from the list on the website of companies that drug test. Given, you could probably blow it up a bit and it would be a fairly good picture on a national scale, I will do other states (feel free to ask) and reply to this thread accordingly.

(I'm doing this for my own peace of mind that I won't have to stop doing what I love, to get a job. ((Im using subsitution...)

91% Piss tests
4 % Blood tests
5 % Hair tests
2 % Saliva

Out of 181 companies, 164 use piss testing, 7 use blood, 8 use hair, and 2 use saliva.

Ok, I was thinking that Colorado's population may not be sufficient, so I did California ! maybe this will paint more of a national picture.

86.5 % use Piss tests
4 % use Blood tests
9 % use Hair tests
1 % use Saliva tests

Out of 624 companies, 537 use piss testing, 26 use blood testing, 55 use Hair testing, and 6 use Saliva tests. Looks like hair tests are the second most used drug testing method...
