Default stressing out!

Hey everyone,
First off, i'd like to thank everyone who has helped out with the questions i've been asking lately; and the search button has certainly helped. I've been glued to these forums for the last 48 hours, and i'm really stressing out about this test...it really isn't worth it, and i'll never smoke again without knowing I don't have a test.

I'm 5'11", 170, fast metabolism, chronic smoker (3-6 times a day)

I haven't been scheduled with a drug test as of yet...but i've been in twice and went through 3 interviews and met everyone in the office. I plan on subbing, and the job I would be taking is an install position, where I would get my own truck, and have full benefits.

What i'm stressing about is, I am thinking when you drive a vehicle for a company they probably require you to take a physical...my g/f said that full benefits also might require a physical. If this is true it makes my $95 kit useless, I can't hide that thing under a gown! Especially if the doc's gonna grab my nuts. I feel like i'm done for, I can't imagine shoving something up ()^() there...and would anything that would fit in there even be enough to fill the sample cup?

In the brochure, and on the website, this is what it says:

EOE. M/F/D/V. Drug-free, smoke-free workplace. Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen, an employment history reference check and a criminal records check.

I don't know what the first two mean-is that proof that I will indeed have a physical? Sorry again for the long thread...like I said, i'm stressing!@

EOE = Equal Opportunity Employer
M/F/D/V = Male, Female, Disabled or Veteran

No where does it say that you are subject to a pre-employment physical. Just a drug screen and pre-employment background screen. If you are driving a company vehicle, your driving record and criminal history will most certainly be checked. Your previous employers will be asked to verify your dates of employment and eligibility for re-hire, If you are using pruchase orders or working with money your credit history could also be checked.

when i had my pre-employment physical <stated on HR papers> i did not have to disrobe, nor did the doc grab my nuts ;]

i took a p-test, TB screen, hearing test, eye exam, took blood to see if i had Hepatitis A/B/ or C vac <cant remember>.

so even if u did have to take one <99.9% u wont> no nut grabbing involved

p.s. pre-employment physical was for work in a hospital and driving a company truck

Thank you both for your replies...lol I know what that means now. How do you thank people though (I noticed under sec3's post he got thanked, i would also like to do so for both of you).

So if it doesn't say it in the brochure/application I probably won't have to take a physical?...Is it possible they could throw it in there when im signing all of their papers?

It isn't a hospital/government job, I was just thinking since I will be driving their truck they'll want to check my eyes, ect...

I also want to thank Peggy Hill and her recent archived posts, they are really helpful.

had i not had some inside info, i would not have known about the actual physical. while i was filling out paperwork for HR i was told i would have to take a pre-emp physical after i was done.
