| Hey all Longtime toker here. Also appreciate the fact that there's a website/forum that just cuts to the chase without all the judgements and B.S. Here's my question. Have had to deal with u/a's for years now in different states and for different agencies. SOME have checked for the correct temp....others dont seem to. How can I be sure?? Down south, they used a strip like feature attatched to the sample cup which would reveal the urine temp. But recently, I have been put on "color-code" which most of you know means I give random screens for my P.O. I have never seen the "temp strip" on the sample cup. Nor have I heard from any other "color-codees" mention worries of correct temp. They observe me pee then I place the cup into a plastic bag that is then written on by my observer and then I GUESS is sent to a lab. Not really sure WHAT they do with my sample after they place it in the palstic bag. I live in Fairfax County, Virginia. Does anyone know if they check the temp on urine screens?? It's not exactly something I really think I should ask my PO. KWIM? THANKS!!! |

| When a void is observed, it is taken for granted that the observer actually witnessed the urine flow from the body into the collection cup. That makes it sort of unnecessary to document the temperature as opposed to an unobserved void where the temp is documented so the void can be assumed to have just come from a human body. In other words, the temperature is documented on unobserved voids to verify the urine came from the body in the past 4 minutes and was not carried into the testing facility in a pocket or other means. When a void is observed, the observer is testifying to the fact that he/she witnessed the void and therefore the temperature is not necessary. |
