Hey all, first off I must say this is the best, hands down, website for people trying to pass their tests and I have nothing but much love and respect for all the admins, mods, and posters who spend their collective time sharing their experience and knowledge. You all deserve medals or something, I've learned so much lurking for about just a week.

Now, my questions are thusly. I'm going to have to take a UA at court on March 28th as part of a plea bargin arranged by my lawyer for underage possession of alcohol (I'm 20 btw) and pot(under an oz.). Hooray. >.< I've been totally freaked out that I'm not going to be clean for this test because of my stats and I wanted to try and see what the gurus here have to say, because my friends are all less than useless about this stuff.

I'm 5'10'', 20 years old, and weigh around 200~230 I think, no scale to check on, pounds, I think my metabolism is either slow or average but it has been increasing these past two years as I've lost a lot of weight in that time frame but that might also be the cigarettes I started on around the same time, and now my weight has stabilized again where its at now, I don't gain weight no matter how bad I eat, which is pretty badly. I was an everyday smoker for about two years or so, give or take a couple months. I smoked different amounts each day, of different qualities ranging from browny mids to lemon fresh headies. Like I said my test is on March 28th, and the last time I smoked anything was the morning of Feb. 14th, no break downs or weakness smokes at all, and will be able to continue this until the court date and probably beyond if required. I tested myself yesterday and failed (this is at 22 days clean), but I have been sick with a stomach virus and have been extremely dehydrated due to not really being able to hold water in my system (everything I've been drinking has been either Gatoraide or soda). I'm thinking that I might have wasted my money testing while not even normally hydrated, much less dilution prepared but I was going to lose my mind if I didn't check myself out at least.

I've read everything posted about dilution and subbing and I'm wondering several things. One, what do you all think about my chances of being able to pass the test without adulterating at all? Two, how long does dilution last/what kind of test do you think they'll do on me at the court house as it relates to my chances of being able to sub? I will be 42 days (6 weeks) and several hours clean when I'm going to have to test for court, and I just don't know if that will be enough. I'm thinking about trying to dilute myself somewhat but it will be several hours after my last opportunity to drink water or take any pills before the test. I'm probably going to be up at 4 AM that morning so I know I'll have a lot of time to prepare dilution, but again I'm going to have to go in dry, and I can't really leave the court room to void excess fluid either. Is it pointless to try and dilute myself when I'm probably going to have to wait so long to give my sample? I figure it couldn't hurt to prepare correctly, void a lot in the morning time period and hope the pee I go in with is watered down enough but that might be flawed logic thus why I'm posting. And on the flip side of that does anyone know if they'd watch me give my sample at the courthouse itself? I'd love to just sub it out and avoid the whole fiasco entirely, but it is a courthouse and the results of my test will affect what happens to me so I doubt I'd be able to do that (but at the same time maybe they'd be lax about it due to security there...).

I know this probably sounds like paranoid ranting but its been on my mind all week and I can't afford to let this screw me over, cause I was letting my habit get the best of me in too many ways and now I'm trying to straighten my life out and get responsible about my actions, and now its all hinging on this. Get a home test and test yourself. Subbing is a poor idea for probation/court since many are supervised and the consequences are severe.

I tested myself yesterday and it came up as a fail which upset me but didn't suprise me much. I'm just wondering what the odds of being good to go are honestly, and if I can put any faith in diluting down that morning and then having to wait possibly 2 or 3 hours before giving a sample if I'm not good to go...I'm going crazy trying to rationalize my information and am looking for a more educated person's opinion. I'm going to order a package of tests from ebay soon so I don't have to get ripped off every time I want to test myself too.

Get the home tests and do a trial run with the dilution method. Wait the 2-3 hours you figure you will have to wait and test yourself.

I addressed the thing about subbing isn't a good idea for probation/court testing. As far as how long does dilution last, once your urine becomes dilute, if you replace what you lose every time you go to the bathroom, then you will be able to keep up the dilution.

*nods* aye you did, and I took it to heart so I'm ruling that out. I guess I'm going to have to do what 1toke said and just experiment with timing. Thanks so much for the responses, I'll report back once I get the package and see how it goes cause I figure everyone could use more research on dilution methods.

FYI. Buzzby says you can get home tests cheaper on Ebay than from your local drug store. If you are going to be testing yourself several times that may be worth looking into.

Wanted to report back on my own progress in my own thread, I know that's the SOP.

Anyways, I'm 34 days clean now and am successfully passing the tests I got from eBay naturally, just with the ghost-est of lines. They're barely there but they are in fact there, I'm not just forcing myself to see them. This, as one might expect, makes me overwhelmingly happy. I've got another week before I have to go into court which means my line should be stronger by the time I'm going in there, so I'm good. ^_^

If you know you have to take a drug test at any point in the future quit smoking! Read the stickies and never start up again until you're completely in the clear, you never know if you might have to retest due to an error.
If in doubt, ask yourself this question: What's more important, getting out of the mess you're in or getting high?

I'm getting the same faint faint line. Chronic smoker for 5 years, 5'11", 160 lbs, abstaining for 18 days now. Test in 2+ weeks.

Another quick checkup. At 35 days I went in for an official test and failed it. Confused the hell outta me but okay, I told the guy to go ahead and send it into the labs for a quantitative test, why not? I went in for the results and found that I had a whooping 20 ng/ml. Why did I fail the dip test? Cause they used a cutoff of 15. O.o!!! I even had a ghostly line on their dip test which the tester said is considered inconclusive and would result in the send off if it ment something. This is so interesting to me, a daily smoker of two years getting to 20ng over the course of 5 weeks. My big day is tomorrow and I'm not worried about it at all (well that's a lie o.o) cause I figure another week would be able to knock off another 5ng at least to make me able to pass the court test if they for some reason used 15 cutoff tests as well. I've also been eating a ton and doing nothing so I should be able to swing it, I'll post back again tomorrow afternoon. Wish me luck!
