I have been reading a lot of the threads here and just wanted an opinion...I haven't smoked since Jan 28, before that I smoked at night, maybe two or three bowls, sometimes more, all day on weekends...I have a drug test for pre-employment coming up soon and I went and had myself tested at the same lab the company uses, and I was clean, but they used the dip test and did not send the sample to the lab like the employer is requesting. The double lines on the test I already took were pretty faint, but the tester told me if I passed this one I should have no problem with the other one. Has anyone had any experience with the differences in these tests? The paper work I have says the test is a DFW(50) split sample...I'm not sure what that means. Also, I work in a gym right now, so I work out atleast five times a week (lifting wieghts, light cardio), but I still have a large amount of body fat, mostly in the abdomen area (beer belly). I've read here that excercise helps, but I read elsewhere that if you have body fat like I do you wouldn't want to do any excercise for a few days before the test so that you release as little stored THC from the fat into the blood stream...?

I hope this is not just a completely redundant post, I did read a fair amount of the existing posts here...your opinion is appreciated.

You should pass a lab test given your instant results.

Why did you not request a lab test on your trial run? Any collection facility should be able to run a lab test (it costs a bit more, but if you want results exactly like your pre-employment test, it is worth it).

I wanted the guy to send it to a lab and he just kept saying that if I passed the dip test that I would pass the lab test no problem, blah blah...I think he was just being lazy and didn't wanna do the extra work or something...

so I took my test today...I was wondering if it would be cool to call the lab and get the results...I know it would be a dumb ass move to ask my new employer, but I wouldn't think it would matter to the lab if I called them in a few days? any thoughts on that?

The laboratory won't give you any information. Only the people commissioning the tests (the employer) can obtain the results.

I took the test on Monday and I haven't heard from the employer (i.e. you failled, etc.) so is it pretty safe to assume that I passed the test at this point? The job doesn't start until end of april, but I assume the lab test only takes 2-3 biz days.

I think I must of passed at this point, I took it last monday, so today is the eighth biz day and I haven't heard anything....just wanted to say thanks to all of those who gave me an opinion...
