Due to some really screwed up stuff happening where I work, I need to take a urine test Monday, I was a heavy user and found out about this on Thursday, haven't smoked since Wednesday night. I bought some cleansing liquid from a company called Omni, and have been drinking lots of water and tea.

Any advise, or am I screwed?

Well, depending on if the test is going to be supervised or not you very well might be screwed. Nothing short of an act of god (don't count on it) will make you clean in that short a time period after being a heavy smoker, and I hate to tell you but you wasted your money on that drink. The only things that clean you out are time and excercise. Read the sticky at the top of the forum for how to dilute yourself down to a level where you might possibly pass, and read up on substitution in the event your test isn't supervised. Sounds like either you're facing some hardcore bullshit that is totally unfair to you in which case I'm very, very sorry for you and wish you much luck, or its your own damn fault for being high on the job, you didn't say. =p

If you know you have to take a drug test at any point in the future quit smoking! Read the stickies and never start up again until you're completely in the clear, you never know if you might have to retest due to an error.
If in doubt, ask yourself this question: What's more important, getting out of the mess you're in or getting high?

They are testing all the consultants, it wasn't that I was high on the job. I do take alot of other medications for everything from diabetes, heart problems and kidney problems. People have told me that they have passed using the same methods I am trying, but I doubt it could be that easy.

Well thats good, that allows everyone to sympathize with your plight and not just call you a rube. XD Make sure to mention all those things you're taking on the test form, the people at the testing place will need to know so you don't get hit with a false positive from something else...I'm torn between saying that and saying don't mention a damn thing and substitute, it all comes down to whether or not you're going to be observed and if the meds your on can cause a false positive. I would take in a doctors note or something to prove you're really on those meds so just in case you flag positive for something other than pot they don't have a reason to send it in for a GS/MC test which you'd probably fail even if you'd pass a EMIT test. But that might be my paranoia talking, I have no idea if your meds would even do that; I'm just trying to cover all the angles that need to be considered if you're on meds. I read a post by a guy named W33DSMOKER and he passed with dilution after only 48 hours so not all hope is lost, as did a poster named maquiladora, his/her time was similar. Search their names and see what they did.

I'm really tired so I hope this made sense, and I hope someone can come in and pick up my admitedly large amount of slack.

PS: What DID happen? Just cause I like a good bit of drama and what happened might influence what tests/observation levels.

It's a long story, a female consultant, who was trying to get hired full time, accused another women who is an employee of sexual harrassment and creating a "hit" list. The accused women was actually trying to help the other women get hired. When things dragged on, the first women thought that the accused women was talking behind her back and they friendship ceased. She then went to HR and told them that she felt sexually harrassed and threatened, they did an investigation and things escalated to the point that the corp mandated that all consultants need to be checked, including past employment and a drug test. I had nothing to do with it, other than being a friend to the women being accused (actaully I was friends with both, but have come to the conclusion that the consultant is nuts!). However thay are testing all consultants, and there's not much I can do to prevent the test on Monday.

I am not comfortable with substitution. Nor do I really have time to practice.

The test will be done at Quest Diagnostics and the code for what they are testing is 6405N SAP 5-50 GC/MS.

No time to practice? It isn't very time consuming at all. Find a 2-3 ounces container that you would use on the day of the test, get a thermometer (I like cooking thermometers over those made for the body because you have a bigger range of use) and fill it with water at about 90 degrees. Secure it to your body the way you would the day of the test, and put on some clothes and do what you need to do (work, housework, laundry, errands, etc.) and check the temp of the water in about 2 hours. If it is in between 90-100 degrees, well you found the right place to secure it and the right method.

Don't be afraid of subbing. Read the thread by Darius about "Can they frisk you." It isn't that much further down than this one. Then remember, you have two asses accusing people of this that and the other. Since they are already accusing people of sexual harassment, I doubt they are going to even think about finding a way to make everyone take observed tests!

Finding clean urine could be a problem with such short notice. Try a head shop for Quick Fix or other synthetic urine. If you have a clean source, go with it. Age and gender do not matter. Just make sure it is clean.

Your test is the standard (as in the standard 5 drugs they test for) 5 substance abuse panel with a 50 ng/ml cutoff on THC metabolites on immunoassay confirmed with a 15 ng/ml GC/MS test. If those terms sound foreign, use the search feature to find more info.

Dilution is not a 100% pass, subbing is if you aren't showing or cold.

Are there any criminal charges that can be brought against me?

I am totally freaking out and their is really nothing i can do at this point except get a piece of mind. This past friday i took a 6405N SAP 5-50 GS/MS urine test admin. by Quest for pre-employment. Prior to that day i was clean for about two weeks. Before those 2 weeks started i wasn't a constant user, but i did smoke alot that week prior. I am very healthy, fast metabolism, skinny (little body fat) and worked out a little. i drank about 4 bottles of water before the test and thats about it. What are the chances i give a positive readout? I know it is hard to tell, but maybe someone has some stories or possibilities that would give me a better idea. Also, is quest or the employer going to contact me with the results, or is that only if i fail. Is no news good news or should i be waiting for a phone call? Someone please talk to me before i tweek...thanks.

Check out the results sticky for some other people's experiences. You are correct, they will only contact you if you tested positive for something. No news is good news. If you never hear anything, assume you passed. In my experience, you will usually get a call within 48 - 72 hrs if you tested positive.
