Angry The "nurse" giving me my test F'ed up...

So I had to do the normal pre-employment drug test not too long ago, and like before, I used the substitution method. I did everything just like last time, and although I was a bit nervous, also like last time, I pulled it off...Went into the bathroom pulled out the substitute, poured it and done. When I gave it do her, she poured it in another bottle, sealed it up, and signed the paperwork...everything good so far.

She gave me my copy of the custody and control form, and then I proceded to go to another room for my physical. So before the doctor comes in for my physical,(I had already done away with the evidence of subbing, btw) the nurse, or whatever she was, comes back in to tell me that SHE screwed up and the sample was suppose to be a split sample and not a single sample.(if you look on the custody control form there is boxes you check for it)..looking at this form in front of me it CLEARLY states that the company wanted a split sample and she did a single sample. Well she then tells me they are going to need more urine from me to make another sample after my physical. I said "ok," to not look suspicious.

Well I finished the physical and she catches me before I can even get out of the room and says, "ready?" I said, "I don't know if I can go right away, I pretty much empty my bladder on that first sample." She then gives me water and tells me to drink until I can go again. I went along with her and drank the water and waited in the waiting room until I "had to go." Trying to think quickly I say that I was not expecting to be here this long and had prior obligations(I gave a pretty good excuse) and needed to leave really soon and asked if there was anything I could do to make things right. She said only thing I can do was contact the company myself and ask if they can give me another test, and if I do that, my next test will probably be SUPERVISED. She then asked me if I could be back within an hour to take it again. I said "probably not."(due to my prior obligations)

I'm not sure what to do now, has anyone had something like this happen to them, or anyone know of anything I can do? I saw the sample that I gave them and that had it bagged up with my paperwork. Is there a chance they could send the sample anyways? Please help guys.
BTW, I apologize if there is another situation like this as I am new to the boards and haven't look all the way through them yet.

Was this test for a DOT regulated position? If so, then no. They won't send the first specimen. The good news is that they cannot observe simply because she screwed up. the bad news is they can observe because you didn't stay. Basically you left the test site before the test was completed therefore refusing to test.

Bitch to the employer. Tell them about your prior obligation or whatever. Tell them you are willing to go and give another specimen whenever they want. They probably will not authorize an observed test and the tech who messed up will probably not remember you. You will simply show up for a pre-employment split urine collection. (hopefully).

They will not send the first specimen. Too bad for you. The first specimen will show negative eliminating the need for the split.
