back in december i was charged with possession of marijuana, paraphernelia, and first offense dui. i had to spend plenty money but my lawyer got the drug charges thrown out and he got the dui reduced to misdemeanor wreckless driving. i plead no contest to wreckless driving to get rid of the dui and drug charges. i was sentenced to 6 months probation, 50 hours comm. service, dui school, high risk driver school, fines, court costs, and a restricted license, and on the court papers it said random drug tests would be part of my probation. however, i recently went to probation orientation and in the packet i recieved it mentions nothing about random drug screens under my special conditions, only the 50 hours comm. service, dui school, high risk driver school, fines, court costs, and a restricted license. a gentleman with the probation office mentioned that if drug screens are part of our probation then we must get in contact with some agency and i don't have any idea of what agency it is or how to contact them because the information was not in my packet or under my specified conditions so i asked my probation officer about the contact info and she said the contact info should be in my packet, but make sure it is...but in the packet it doesn't say anything about drug screens, or who to contact about them. as part of dui school i was required to go to a high risk driver evaluation, and the evaluator ended up refering me to drug/alcohol counseling, which really pisses me off. i still don't have any idea if i am going to be tested. since my court date march 2nd i have been clean but i'd just like to cut back from being a chronic user like i used to be and take a few hits now and then to ease the stress of the hassle i have to go through. i was just wondering, since my packet doesn't have any drug screen info but i have to go to drug/alcohol counseling, if any of you from experience or whatever know if i will be drug tested? keep in mind that i am only on probation for wreckless driving and the drug charges were dismissed. any feedback from you guys is greatly appreciated, thank you!

well my lawyer said they are more lenient with first time offenders such as myself, and he thought i would be drug tested at this evaluation (which i wasn't) and if i showed up clean i may not be tested again

Here's a tip...don't smoke on probation. They're GOING to test you and if you fail you WILL serve the rest of your probation in jail. That's part of probation, not doing anything against the law, and they have to make sure you're not breaking the law, so they test. Also, if you really need weed that badly to deal with your stresses in life maybe you need the counseling. There are other ways to deal with stress and relying on drugs or booze to fix your problems if the first step into the horrible downward spiral that is addiction, and don't you dare tell me you can't get addicted to marijuana.

Also, please stop posting really really horribly wrong information in other threads about how you think one can pass a drug test. Its mostly incorrect and spreading false information is the last thing this forum needs.

If you know you have to take a drug test at any point in the future quit smoking! Read the stickies and never start up again until you're completely in the clear, you never know if you might have to retest due to an error.
If in doubt, ask yourself this question: What's more important, getting out of the mess you're in or getting high?

Hey I have probation for something totally unrelated to drug or dui charges and in my paper they gave me im subject to random drug tests.

Follow what they gave you, I went to jail for a while and IT SUCKS!!!

If you can not smoke weed for a couple of months who cares? You still have your freedom dont ya? If not you have a drug problem, a lot of people I know are on probation too and guess what?.....were all pot heads...and we dont smoke!!!

You will have plenty of time when your 6 months are up (it'll go by quicker than you think).
