Good morning all: I was a heavy smoker until October last year (6 mos. ago.). Approximately 6 weeks ago, I "succumbed" and started again for about 1-1/2 weeks. My choice of "ingestion" is a dugout. I probably hit the dugout maybe 10 "packs" over that 1-1/2 week period. After the 1 1/2 week period I received a call from a potential employer and stopped. I am certain that my last day of smoking was at least 28 days ago. Yesterday, I took two home tests. One was First Check Drug Test, which resulted in two solid lines. As a precaution, I also took (a few hours later) an AtHome Drug test by Pharmatech, and the line was verrrry faint (let's face it, I reallly had to look to see it...). My test is Wednesday... I am hearing everything from GNC flush, to working out, golden seal, etc... My weight is approximately 220 and I am 6'... I have to think that my 1-1/2 week "binge" doesn't make me a chronic smoker and everything should have been out of my system within 10 days or so. I would also like to point out that I began working with a holistic health counselor about two months ago and have changed a lot of my diet habits, including a high fiber diet (large bowls of oatmeal every morning and regular intake of green vegetables). Am I being overly paranoid? Thank you for any advice...

A line is a line. No matter HOW faint, you passed.

| Not true! I got a technical fail simply because my line was too faint when I went in for an offical judgement of a quick test at a Quest center. What he said was it was undetermined and would probably get sent to a GCMS test if it ment something, so ghosty ghostass lines don't always count. Just a bit of field research I did in the name of science. =p That's weird, passing one test then not another...I'm guessing the second one had a lower cutoff rate for some reason. If you think you can stomache it I advise going on the kill yourself diet (fast food, fatty foods, sweets, you name it). That will shock the shit out of your healthy system and build up a lot of fat that is clean, that'll help you out a decent bit. Don't talke goldenseal, thats just asking for trouble.

Well, too late, I did take one goldenseal on Friday, but then no more (probably nothing, but it's all about full disclosure, lol). Yesterday I did go to GNC and bought Herbal Clean Cleansing Tabs and took the batch for the hell of it. This morning I woke up and took the AtHome test (the one that had the very faint line) using my first morning stream. Although I didn't use the initial "burst", this morning's test resulted in two very solid lines. I still have two more home tests, one First Check and one AtHome. I can take the actual test any day this week up until Wednesday. I think I am going to take another tomorrow morning and see how it looks. I figure waiting the extra days shouldn't hurt. I may do tomorrow's test with my first stream. Man this is killing me...

Speaking of First Check and AtHome, I took a First Check test today, and got the faintest of faint lines. At least I know I'm almost clean. You think I should take an AtHome too? Or are they pretty much the same? I know AtHome is a dipstick, whereas the First Check was a three-drop thing. I still got til Wednesday morning and I'm going to take another home test maybe Monday night or Tuesday morning...

AuNatural: Sounds like you and I are in the same boat... lol... I guess with two solid lines on both tests I shouldn't be concerned at all, right?

Amazing... Couple of puffs over a week and a half period and I am scared sh*tless... I want to resign so bad... I am thinking with two solid lines tomorrow morning I can head over and wrap up this test... Still quivering, GM

I also have to believe that passing 3 at home tests, each with a 99.9% effectiveness must move me to the 99.999999999999% range... lol
