I've read that any faint line is still negative, but does it depend on your drug screener's subjective opinion? If the line is faint or medium-faint, would they elect to GC/MS you? Are the rules really cut and dry, as in ANY faint line = negative?

There's nothing to prevent a tester from sending your sample on for further testing if he doubts the outcome of the initial test. There are no "rules".

What he said. Too faint is a fail on a technicality, cause it means undeterminable status...basically yeah, there's a line but its too obvious you've been smoking.

If you know you have to take a drug test at any point in the future quit smoking! Read the stickies and never start up again until you're completely in the clear, you never know if you might have to retest due to an error.
