First let me say thank you for such an informative site.

I am scheduled for a pre employment drug test and physical exam on this thursday. I am a regular marijuana user but I have not smoked since last monday night. I found out about the test on tuesday. As of today I have been clean for 7 days, thursday will be the 11th day. Prior to tuesday I smoked 1 or 2 blunts a day for over a year.

I am male, 24 years old, 5'5", and weigh 170 pounds. I have a medium metabolism and low activity levels. I do not exercise other than the fact that walking and public transit are my primary forms of transportation. My body fat percentage is around 20%.

The physical is comprehensive consisting of a physical exam, chest x-ray, 5 panel drug screen with GC/MS confirmation of positive results, a complete urinalysis for PH, Specific Gravity, Sugar, Albumin, Blood, Infected Cells, and Microscopic Examination, and a CBC blood test. The physicians website mentions a "chemical dipstick" for the complete urinalysis.

I have been ordered to fast for 12 hours prior to the physical and to consume nothing but water for those 12 hours. Therefore urine color is not a concern but I am concerned about taking aspirin and electrolytes (tums/rolaids) during that period.

I have purchased the 5 day toxin rid detox program and the powdered urine product from testclear.com

Test Clear only sent enough pills for 4 days however and I am hoping that I can get them to send me the additional 15 pills tomorrow when they are open for business. In the meanwhile I am following the instructions for the 4 day detox program. I am currently on day two of the program. The program consists of 15 pills per day, 2 hours after the last pill of the last day you take detox liquid and one hour before the test you take the included dietary fiber.
In addition I plan on taking creatine to keep my levels normal.

I can change my appointment if need be. What day would be optimal to take the test? The final day of the program? the day after? 2 days after?

Will I be required to provide more than one urine sample?

Will the dilution method work in spite of the order to fast. Should I consider dilution or am I ok with the toxin rid?

Am I better off using my own urine or the powdered urine? I would prefer to use my own because it is easier but I would do ANYTHING to pass this test. I am also worried about other tests (other than drug screen) that they will run on my urine. What will the powder urine do with these additional tests?

Please help!!!

To the best of my knowledge, there isn't anything you can buy that will strip your body of THC. This type of thing only used for lab rat studies. What it did is strip the rats of everything THC. It was to see if they would experience acute withdrawals if the THC was taken out real quick, as apposed to the long drawn out metabolizing process.

The rats withdrew, or the study reported. I'm losing track here [I think that study is covered in "marijauna myths, marijauna facts" although the author clearly slants torwards pot not harming you at all].

Keep up with what your doing. You must be taking a DOT physical it sounds like. If you have not smoked in 11 days, but were a daily for a year, heavy at that you may have something to worry about. Especially since your 20% and low metabolism. I would also use a 1 hr detox drink [just before test, check out GNC, dont use STRIP products, those are colon flushers nothing more] Gatorade, and creatine pills.

Start taking them days before the test...creatine pills that is. The gatorade has all the electrolytes you need in it, so the specific gravity should be fine [I heard some one say add salt...my god dont do that. Just eat some fritos if your worried].

Me, if the nurse complained it was to watery, I would stop any confusion right there and demand a male nurse watch from source to destination. There are only laws against adultrating the sample. Since it is unmonitored all they can say is "diluting agent detected". They can't exactly accuse you of adding something, but that is what they are worried about.

Having it monitored clears up any confusion, and have the lab document that.

You'll be fine I think. Just don't slip up and let your friends fishbowl or even smoke down wind from you.

On a side note, I myself am heavy user. Did you have any hard time stopping. Sweats, cold flashes, etc? Did you suddenly get thirsty for beer?

Sorry bro, but I think if they're going to be testing you you're SOL. That much pot simply cannot go away in a week. Just how far back can you push this test? Go as long as you can and learn how to dilute. More time means less THC to have to dilute out, and I'm sorry to say I think you wasted your money on that detox shit. =\ Practice diluting yourself and hope for the best, its going to be hard but not impossible.

If you know you have to take a drug test at any point in the future quit smoking! Read the stickies and never start up again until you're completely in the clear, you never know if you might have to retest due to an error.
If in doubt, ask yourself this question: What's more important, getting out of the mess you're in or getting high?
