Hi guys, I am a newbie and this is my first day viewing/posting. I have found a lot of the information on this site to be very usefull and educational. Especially taht posted by N2 and S2. You guys are awesome.

On to my reason for posting. I am sure like most people I am being parinoid here but I want to be sure. Let me give you the details and then ask the question. I am 27 years old 6' even and about 205lbs. I have a slowish (not really slow but a bit) metabolism. My history of smoking has been this. First time in 5 years was the day of the superbowl. I took about 3 hits of some really good stuff and then later that night about 5 more of some dirt bud. I smoked again about two weeks later. 3 hits maybe. Then more recently on the 10th of the month, Saturday I smoked. maybe 4 hits this time. Again on monday maybe 6 hits. Again on wednesday maybe 4 and again on saturday maybe 4. All good stuff these times. I have not smoked since then so it has been about 8 days and I have a test tomorrow during a pre-employment physical. I was told to use Test Pure Platinum to pass my test but after searching online was a bit nervous about using any kind of detox drink. I then found this site and started reading about diluting. I have been drinking a lot of water lately anyway as I have had a cold and the last couple of days a lot of cranberry juice. Today I drank about a half gallon of cran-juice in about 7 hours and then took the At home drug test for thc. I tested two bold double lines(Negative).

I figure that is good but am wondering if it is because I diluted or if I will be good to just drink a 32 ounce Gatorade on the way to the test(which is about a 2 1/2 hour drive away). What do you think? Should I take asprin if I didn't already and tested good? Should I take vitamin B and drink lots of water or do you think just the Gatorade will be good?

Any insight would be greatly apreciated. BTW once again this site is awesome. You guys should pat yourselves on the back for being so involved in an online community in which like-minded people can get together and help eachother out. GREAT WORK!

Well I gave them my sample and color looked great. It was midstream as it was unsupervised. However, the paper they handed me back had GC/MS marked on it. It was interesting because he didn't even check it for temp or anything. Just bottled it up and shipped it out. I don't know if they will do an official GC/MS or if that is just what they mark incase it doesn't pass the initial test. I guess we will find out. Today is monday. If i don't hear back by friday I will assume everything was good. I will post the results by then either way.

I dunno man. Hate to sound discouraging, but if they checked GC/MS, that means your faint line wasn't good enough to pass. They are going to get a quantitative result from GC/MS. Cross your fingers.

Which is really a bummer, because if you read the directions on the home tests [fda approves, same for hospitals] it clearly states that a faint line must be interpited as a negative. Did you see him dip a stick or do anything? You'll want to talk to the MRO at the hospital, cause if they are sending out to many passing results then they need to "re-treain" the collectors. You can get your results tossed as well, but the MRO will be vedy vedy hard to sway.

What he said. The cutoff for GC/MS is 10 or 15 ng/ml, and they're going to get your exact number of metabolites back if they send it out for that, and that's not good. It sounds like for some reason you didn't pass whatever prescreen they were giving you so they sent it straight out for confirmation. Its rare to see them do that without a reason, it costs a lot more to have to do that, but it can happen. I hope things work out for you, and if not learn how to sub for your next pre-emp test.

Well,

Here is the thing about it. The place they sent me to take the test was just one of those work med places. They send the sample out to a lab no matter what. I think all they did was collect it and send it out. Like I said he didn't even check the temp. I could have easily subbed it. No supervision, no temp check, no dip stick. I am hoping the lab they sent it to will just do the EMIT and if it passes leave it at that.

Also, When I took the home test and passed with a faint line it was my first void of the day. I had to unfortunately drive for 2 1/2 hours to take the test. I drank one and a half 32oz bottles of gatorade on the way and was stopping to piss every hour so hopefully that will help. Prior to test day I had been eating a lot of steak and burgers so I assume(I know assumptions get you in trouble) that my creatine levels should be good. I also took a few doses of viatimin B complex on test day, and when I gave my sample it was a nice dark yellow. Also ate some salty foods to hopefully keep my Ph levels correct. I will let you know how it turns out. Hopefully for the best.

I am curious as to why both of you thought they gave him an instant test? Just because GC/MS is checked off on his sheet is no reason to panic. That probably means all they are going to do is confirm any non-negative immunoassay results with GC/MS. He hasn't failed anything yet so what is with all the Debbie Downers? LOL, she is a character on Saturday Night Live in case you didn't get that. She is a real buzz kill. If he passed a home test chances are excellent that he will pass the immunoassay portion of his test and no further testing will be conducted. Also, just because the cutoff on GC/MS is 15 ng/ml doesn't always mean it is harder to pass this test when compared to the 50 ng/ml cutoff on immunoassay. Do you know why? If not, use "31 metabolites" using the quotes in the advanced search feature and posts by me.

Great post Fake,

I did the search you said to do and was very impressed with my findings. You guys are awesome. I highly reccomend doing that search if you are reading this thread and have simular concerns. I feel much better about it and I wasn't that worried to begin with by the time I took the test. Now I feel like the worst case scenario is it will be too diluted and I will have to retake it. I doubt even that though. Seems like these drug screens are just a lot of stress and not really that hard to pass if you know they are comming up and make the effort to use one of the proven methods posted on this site.

Once again I would like to thank you Fake and everyone else here who's insight and knowledge has helped so many of us to pass and relaxe about testing. In a time when you are so stressed the only thing you want to do is the one thing you have to avoid, these posts are a god-send.
