Took my test last Friday, results came back today as diluted.

I'm an everyday smoker, 175 lbs, normal eating habits yadda yadda.

2 and a half hours before my test I drank some stuff called Omni which I got from my local headshop and which was supposed to be a cleanser. In that 2 1/2 hours, I drank about 8 pint glasses of water, peed 3 times and then headed over to my test. My urine at the test had that vitamin yellow color even with that much water intake.

Luckily, I didn't go home and smoke right after I took the test the first time.
I'm wondering what everyone thinks my chances are if I just drink 3-4 pint glasses of water before I retest on Wednesday?

Besides substitution, I'm thinking if I just do the aspirin/creatine/water mix I should be ok, I just want to hear someone tell me that.

B2 doesn't affect specific gravity, it just colors your urine, and can actually make you THINK you have heavier urine than you do. I'm not sure about creatine. I would advise you to buy a few urinalysis strips. They have a specific gravity indicator.

Was it just a regular old dipstick test or was it sent to the lab, who said it was diluted?

The girl who works at the staffing agency that I am working through got an email from the testing agency, she told me it was one line of text that just said that a diluting agent was detected. No explanation, no other detail. Shes been very cool about it and its because of her keeping it from the company im working for that I'm going to be allowed to re-test.

What are my chances of passing in anyones opinion if i havent smoked in over 2 weeks and I do the whole aspirin/water/creatine level dilution trick?

A diluting agent? Is this a DOT test? Pee is Pee, what I would do is the same thing. No less water. And ask for a male nurse to watch you fill the cup from source to destination, have it sent to the lab as a confirmed legit sample. There is nothing they can say at that point. What they are trying to say now is you poured water in your sample. I took over 50 probation tests that were watched. A lotta times id have a hard time pissing unless I was water logged and had to go real bad. Never once did it come up to watery, cause it was monitored. The only reason they get away with the watery exscuse is because they don't watch you. So they assume you watered it down by adultration.

No its not a DOT test. Its just a pre employment screening. I drank a decent amount of water before i left for the test but I think its more likely that the Omni drink that I used was the reason it came back diluted. I took a home test yesterday and it came up negative, I think I'm in the clear. Today I'm working on the 4 aspirin 12 hours before the test followed by another 2-3 aspiriin every 4-6 hours up until the test which I'm going to goto in about 2 hours from now. I'm just doing that to be safe but after taking and passing the home test I'm pretty sure I should be ok.

It's been 2 weeks and 3 days officially since I last smoked. I really didnt do anything special and I'm passing home tests. I know GC is more accurate but I would think if I pass the home test I'll pass the GC.

If anyone would like to make me feel better by telling me if I passed a home test I should be fine for the lab test, that would be great.

The home tests are accurate, and if your passing them it is a positive thing. You should be fine.

hey bud- i passed using dilution after about a week of sobriety and i am a very heavy smoker. i would suggest taking creatine powder for a 3-4 days leading up to it. instead of drinking water i drank a shit load of gatorade (maybe 6-7 16 oz. bottles) with some salt in it as well as aspirin and tums. don't know how much of that was unnecessary but it worked for me... good luck!

This is what I did....

Woke up at 7am. Immediately took 4 bayer aspirin, put down one pint glass of water. Took my first pee, put down another 3 glasses of water. Did my thing for the morning "get ready for work routine". Drank another 3-4 glasses of water and then i had a gallon bottle of gatorade Rain (orange flavor if anyone cares) that was about 3/4 full. I peed about 3 times before I left my house. Drank that and took 2 more aspirin literally on my way out to my car. Left my house at 9am, drove the 10 minutes to my test, took it, and now im waiting on the results.

My pee was a tad yellow for all the water I drank, was kinda hoping it would be crystal clear but whatever. Alot hinges for me on this job, I wish I had known more in advance I had to take a drug test for it cuz I would have stopped smoking 2-3 weeks more in advance.

I will say that NO ONE watched me pee. In fact I had to walk for a good minute through the office building where my test was located in order to get to the bathroom. Substitution should have been my first choice. They didn't even check temperature.

If you're going someplace to get tested, I highly recommend you check out the place that does your testing beforehand to see what it will be like the day of your test. Find someone whos gone there even if you can. Recon can save you a lot of headache.
