Yea, the last time I smoked was Jan 24, 2007, give or take a week. And yea, I NEVER thougth it would take me this long to get herb out of my system!

I have been running, taking detox stuff, and dieting (protein/veggies, no red meat, seasonings, salt, cafeene, alcohol, canned or processes stuff). So I'm sure its probably leaking out of my system at a SLIGHTLY higer rate, since I'm relying more on my stored fat than on intaked carbs, and been running.

I just hurt my knee a few days ago though, so looks like I can't run anymore. I still play to go into fat storage mode a few days before tho, so my body will probably whig the f*ck out.

And like I said, I can dilute, and got 2 bottles of QF 4.0 on standby.

Looked at your pics. Mine looks pretty much like that after 28 days abstaining. I have no idea if someone would send it on to GC/MS. The thing is, with a less than perfectly solid line, it's obvious that you smoked pot at some point. To play devil's advocate, as an employer/tester, I'd want to see just how much pot is in your urine, meaning GC/MS.

I don't know if "anything less than solid" means they send it to GC/MS or not. Does anyone know if heavy smokers can ever get a true solid line, like the control bar?

Don't know if this will help or not but I found this online for THC test strips...

Quote:
NEGATIVE:* Two lines appear. One colored line should be in the control region (C), and another apparent colored or a faded color line adjacent should be in the test region (T). This negative result indicates that the drug concentration is below the detectable level.

*NOTE: The shade of the test line region (T) will vary, but it should be considered negative whenever there is even a faint colored line.

Also, I'm curious as to why the "At Home" test requires the dipstick to be in the urine for 10 minutes and the dipsticks from medicaldisposables only requires 10 seconds? Seems a bit odd.

10 mins? You sure you read the instructions right?

Remember, the employer won't know at that point, before they can even find out, your sample has to be GC/MS confirmed, and then you have to speak with the MRO.

The tester could send it off based on his judgement of "this is too faint". I know about the "a line is a line" thing, but I remember a SEC3 post somewhere that said the tester can use their discretion. I'm gonna try to search for that post.

Yep, that what it says in the instructions for the "At Home" test. As I mentioned, the dipsticks I got from medicaldisposables were only for 10 secs. Most of the other dipstick tests I found online are done in a matter of seconds and not minutes like the "At Home". Also, as I mentioned earlier, in the month leading up to my real test, I was using the medicaldisposable dipsticks to test my first void of the morning... about 2 to 3 times per week and they were all consistently negative and the "At Home" test I took approx 1 hour before my real test also showed a definitive negative. It was only the "At Home" test I took shortly after my real test that gave me a faint line as shown in the photo I posted on the first page of this thread.

It certainly wouldn't surprise me if there is some variability amongst these dipstick tests... even with test of the same brand. I would imagine that EMIT or whatever type of immunoassay test they do as a priliminary test in the labs is more consistent than these dipsticks.... or so I hope

Darius, I don't know if you've seen this or not but you might find it interesting.... http://www.ndci.org/NDCIR%20VI.pdf

BTW, here's the instructions for the "At Home" test.... so nobody thinks I'm crazy about the 10 minute thing.

Well, apparently my tap water has smoked pot in the last year or so, because I just did a test with straight tap water, and the test line was only half as bold as the control. It's got some minerals, and a bit of chlorine in it, but surely it should,ve shown up as dark as the control.

Too bad all the fuss is about an inert compound. I should just whip it out in the office when I eventually go in, and start whirling around. "Here, take it!"

hmm, mmm "you want fries with that?" <- practicing

Now that is interesting! I never thought to try it on tap water and see what the results would be. Honestly, I don't think it's possible to get the test line as dark as the control line.

I wonder if labs look at the lines under a black light or something... maybe the lines show up more visable under black light? Just a thought.

God, I hate waiting for the results and not knowing.... This really sucks!

It could be because there is more than one type of immunoassay test available for home use. EMIT, ELISHA, ZYIA (something like that), etc are all immunoassay tests used in drug testing. maybe they use different absorbent sponges or pads in the stick. This different material might require a small amount of urine for a few seconds, other may require more for longer etc.
