Hello all,

I have a pre-employment screening coming up soon. I already took one but it came out too diluted. It's now been 52 days since I smoked anything. Prior to that, I smoked about 1 toke once a day for a few months. I'm 5'11" and weight about 180 lbs. I'd say my metabolism is medium to medium high but I don't get regular exercise. I've been home testing myself for the past month or so and always come out negative with my first pee of the day. Below is the info regarding the test I'll have to take. Since I really don't know what any of this stuff means, does anyone think I'll have any problems? I really don't want to dilute too much again as the company considers a second "too dilute" to be a positive. Anyone know what THC(50) means?

I believe the 50 is a 50 ng cutoff for a urine test, which is also the cutoff on the home tests you've been using. If you're testing negative with those, don't dilute. Just go in and take the test normally.

Well, I hope I passed. I retook my pee test with no dilution. I sampled my urine right after I got home (within 10 minutes) and got the following results using the "At Home" test....



The "T" line is a little faint but it is there. About an hour or so before I took the real test, I tested myself with a different dipstick and the "T" line came out a shade or two darker. Hope I'm not screwed!!! In the month leading up to today's real test, I was using the test strips from medical disposables and they consistently showed me as negative. I ran out of them a few days ago so I bought the "At Home" test strips today.

That's exactly the same line I'm getting on my tests! I have no idea what a screener would say about that.

Me neither, that's why I'm sweating bullets. It's been 52 dang days since I last had so much as a micro hit. The "At Home" test manual does say in bold print, "REMEMBER - EVEN A VERY FAINT LINE IS A NEGATIVE RESULT". Seems strange that the dip stick test I took an hour or so prior showed a much more convincing negative result.

Well, there's a line there. You can't deny there being a line there. That means you're below the cutoff level, which means you pass. There are so many factors that could possibly affect your result, which is why if there's an inargueable line you've passed. Otherwise they'd always just ship it out for the more expensive tests without bothering with a pre-screen.

Maybe you should try chugging a 16oz water bottle, and retesting. I think the line would be darker. That's how it always works for me.

On another point, I want to post my test strips, but my camera can't compare to your shots. Are you using flash?

No, no flash. I pretty much try to avoid using a flash whenever possible. I took the picture under a table lamp with the camera set to the macro feature. A flash will probably end up washing the reading out in the picture. Do you have a tripod or something steady to set the camera on? If so, try that and use the camera self timer to take the pic. Hope that helps.

Hey all. Decided to put up a picture of my most recent test, since it was done by somebody, just to get an opinion.

Heard all the stuff about "A line is a line, no matter how faint" vs. "Faint is subjective to the tester". Just wanted to get the opinion of a few people on this one. I'm sure I can dilute and get it darker, btw, I been practicing.

With out a doubt you pass. If they send that sample out to get elemental analysis done on it, it will be below the 50 ng/ml cuttoff and the lab will report a confirmed negative, even if their test shows 30 ng/ml. Their is an alowable amount due to hemp products, and in-intended environmental exposure. You know you wouldnt wanna lose your job just for inhaling second hand smoke.

It is faint though, man are you sure you went that long without smoking? Its only been 7 days for me :[[[

But im 20 lb lighter and piped up metabolizm. Still won't help much in my case. At least your passing them.

EDIT: I can see the line in both mini pics, so even though its faint it is there. I dont have that ogod vision either.
