thanks zonecode, youve been a real help. i think i will do that. and no, its a cheap home test, it doesnt test for temperature im almost positive.

also, ive heard if you carry bleach around with you and drop into your urine when you pee, it comes out negative. anyone ever heard of / tried this?

Yea, I can confirm bleach will do the trick on home tests. Make sure it is unscented, or the bleach smell will be detectable. Not sure how much, I used to use about 15-20 drops or so. I read that it throws the pH WAY outside human range.

Be careful though, some home tests like First Check come with a mailing container to send off the results to a lab, but you're only supposed to do that if the screen registers positive.

if you have a little dorm fridge in your room, the condenser coils on the back would be a relatively safe and constantly warm place to store your substitute. Adulteration would probably be your best bet against a cheap home test.

. one question though, where the hell do i buy unscented bleach in a small container to fit in my pocket?

Can't help ya on that one. You'll proabbly need to buy a full jug of bleach, and then put it in a mini visine bottle or something. If you do, MARK THE BOTTLE! You don't wanna put bleach into a container like visine, lest you or someone else tries to use it! Maybe try a 1oz travel shampoo bottle or something.

Um, they make home adulterant tests that test for ph. They are litmus paper strips, and they are cheap as hell (couple dollars each). They look like this.

This test is based on the apparent pKa change of certain pretreated polyelectrolytes in relation to the ionic concentration. In the presence of an indicator, the colors range from dark blue or blue-green in urine of low ionic concentration to green and yellow in urine of higher ionic concentration

Bleach: Testing for the presence of bleach in urine. In this test, the presence of bleach forms a blue-green, brown, or orange color complex.

Pyridinium Chlorochromate: Testing for the presence of Pyridinium chlorochromate in urine. In this test, the presence of chromate forms a blue-green color complex.

Maybe they don't use one of these for your tests, but they are dirt cheap and easy to find... so they could use one next time. I would re-evaluate your strategy.

Yea Zone, I know. But the way I read his message, I don't think his friend's parents are gonna go that extreme and get the speciman validity strips. Of course, I could be wrong since I don't know them.

Also, like I said, if he gets a First Check or something similar, they could always send it in to get verified. If they do that, then probably the jig will be up.

Ahh yes, my bad. And I agree, it depends how knowledable they are on urinalysis duping techniques.
