Great site here. Have a bit of a dliemma since there's no way I can get my system clean in two short weeks. I'm wondering at what point in the interview process will I be asked to take a pre-employent test. Because so far the company hasn't said anything whatsoever about a drug test, only about criminal backgroud, credit check, driving record, etc. From what my friends say, it's not until after they extend the offer. Can anyone speak to this?

I only ask because I intend on the subsitution method yet cannot bring my synthetic urine with me on the plane for the second interview scheduled on April 12th. However the company is only about 6.5 hours away and I could drive there if I came up with some excuse. Do you think they'll spring the test on me while I'm there or let me return home and go to a local lab?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting post, my favorite kind. So you're going to move out there if you get hired I'm guessing? I don't know why you couldn't hide the QF or whatever just like you were going to sub (it'd be great practice) when going on the plane, but again maybe cause of the liquid freakouts they'd be checking you out closer. I'd say plan on having to take it out there, so in case you do have to do it you'll have your QF on you. Make plans for a night drive or something, it never hurts to be safe.

If you know you have to take a drug test at any point in the future quit smoking! Read the stickies and never start up again until you're completely in the clear, you never know if you might have to retest due to an error.
If in doubt, ask yourself this question: What's more important, getting out of the mess you're in or getting high?

You should be able to put liquid stuff in your bags that get checked in, and get put under the plane in the cargo area (NOT carry on bags). If you do that, it shouldn't be a problem, because I've transported liquor and stuff like that before.

It all depends on the employer. My friend really got a curve ball tossed at him when he applied for the stop & shop distribution centre. They called and said, come down for an interview at the centre. He showed up. Interviewed for 15 minutes and was hired 13 hr awsome job. Then the dude was like, oh yea, step right over here and take a drug test before you leave ["psycho" sound track fits in perfect here].

He is a pothead and something else. The night prior he smoked a blunt. Two days prior he did his water soluble salts [I disagree with these]. He failed for the salt and not the pot. The lady over the phone told him he passed for pot.

Can I say a lie...cough cough. They found both if you ask me. Just lied to him. It is an interesting story. Its rare for something like this. I know wal-mart will give you 24 hrs to report to the clinique of their choice. Easy to deal with by substitution. Anyway, hope this helps.
