Been lurking around here for about a month, decided to post since my curiosity is finally getting the best of me. 5'3 108 lbs. It's a pre employment test.

Smoked 1 blunt each day for a few months.
Quit cold turkey for 35 days, tested negative 1st void of the day.
Partially diluted, took pee test for Quest. (35105N SAP 5-50 W/NIT)

Here's the kicker, it wasn't an actual Quest location, just a collection company. I called them today and they told me they don't actually do the testing, they send it out to Quest. My employer told me when the drug test goes through, they would send me a final job offer letter. I still haven't received any communication at all. Is there need to worry? and finally, can I smoke yet?

Before I say anything else, did they already give you a start date and stuff before you took the test? Most companies by law cannot ask you to take a drug test without at least a conditional offer of employment (correct me if I'm wrong here, anyone).

Eight days is a long time. Think that the Quest turnaround is 24-48 hours for pre-employment drug tests. You might wanna consider calling them and asking "if all your paper work is in order". Don't specifically mention the test. Don't know if that would be suspicious or not.

Again, don't know if you already had a start date set.

Oh yea, and if you have ANY test coming up, QUIT NOW! Is this worth jail or losing this $$$ ? NO! If you think so, you'll probably end up like this .

They gave me a start date of early June (it's a summer internship) and the actual job is in another state, that's why I don't have any face-to-face interaction with the actual company.

But yes, the HR department said in the first letter (that I received 10 days ago) that the letter is a conditional job offer and in order to receive the final offer letter, I must pass the drug test and a background check. I have no worries about the background check at all, and I'm quite confident about the drug test.

Not sure what's taking so long, but I will definitely not smoke until that final letter is in my hands.
