| My timeline: Daily smoker for 6+ years. 160 lbs, 5"11. Run and work out regularly. Average metabolism. March 1st: began abstaining Week One: really hard, more mental than anything else. Grumpy, cranky, pissed off --Smoked a cigar once/day to keep some sort of buzz. Day 14: got my first ghost line on THC strips from medicaldisposables.us Day 14-30: Lines got a little darker, up to maybe half the darkness of the control line. Day 30: went to Nowcare, like LabCorp and Quest for a personal test. Paid $50. Came back negative, although the tester definitely had to wait for the line to come in on the THC marker. I could see her shaking the strip to get all the urine down. I got the feeling I barely passed. Day 30-35: Lines not changing on my strips. Still halfway dark, not enough comfort for me. Day 36: Ordered quick fix 4.0 online from detoxforless. Had it sent overnight. Thought about using my wife's clean urine, but decided against it for gender reasons. I know, I know, they can't look for gender in urine tests, but I ultimately decided it wasn't worth that 0.01% chance that a University Hospital might have a tougher test. Day 37: Tested quick fix for drugs using a First Check 7 panel from CVS. All clear. Day 39: Went to my local testing facility, subbing with quick fix 4.0. Worked flawlessly. Never patted down, never searched, heating pad kept it at 98 degrees F. Day 39-45: Had to wait on pins and needles while my urine was mailed to a university hospital for checking. Day 46: Called the HR department, and they said my urine had no problems. Basically, I decided to go with quick fix 4.0 because I just wasn't confident in my own urine. The test strips just weren't dark enough for my comfort, and I couldn't risk not getting this job (like everyone else on this site). I could have probably passed the test, but it just wasn't worth my nerves. Quick fix worked flawlessly, so I have to endorse it strongly. I had my doubts, researched all over the net, and consulted many people on this site (thanks to Sec3, FakeBoobsRule (although my wife has great real ones), Darius927, and all the others). I will be going into psychiatry, so maybe I can hook you guys up in the future with some "glaucoma" medicine! Tonight, I'm eating chicken. What else? I have yet to smoke...kind of enjoying being able to and not doing it. But I'm sure I'll cave soon. |
