Hi, I just recently took a urine test for work along with everyone else. It is a urine test for canniboids, cocaine, PCP etc..

I don't smoke pot, and havent for 3 years. However 2 weeks before this test I was in a ventilated basement (it had a vent that actively transported smoke out of the basement to the outside) with about 5-6 other people who were passing around joints, I'd estimate anywhere from 3-4 joints at the most but I stayed in the room for several hours from about 4-5 hours.

I'm really nervous because apparently the testing firm or whatever is the same one that tests olympic athlethes for drugs (Maxxim analytics) and it's supposed to have all these really technical tests and whatnot.

I don't know why i'm as worried as I am because I know I didn't get high and I tried not to inhale whatever smoke was around but for some reason i'm still worried.

I've read on the internet that the two tests they do, the first one having a threshold of 50ngl and the second one of 15ngl, and how very unlikely it is that you will test above those threshholds from second hand smoke. But i've also read that some olympic athletes have tested positive even after a month with like 17ngl or something ridiculous like that stating it was from second hand smoke.

I guess what i'm asking for is someone who maybe has a clearcut answer for me.

I sincerely doubt that you are getting an "olympic grade" test. You are getting the standard run-of-the-mill pre-employment drug test that everyone else gets. The second hand smoke you inhaled contained very little or no active ingredient. There just isn't enough shit to get you high or cause you to test positive on a drug test.

btw this is a pre-deployment drug test before I start workup training for the military, I had a pre-employment drug test about a year ago when I joined, don't know if theres any difference but thats why I was a little more worried.
