I purchased a specimen validity test which measures the specific gravity, creatine, ph, and checks for oxidants, nitrites and glutaraldehyde in urine samples. Specifically, I bought it to be able to double check my Quick Fix. The creatine level is at, or slightly below the normal level. When testing my actual urine, the test strip is significantly darker(in the normal range).I emailed the following questions to unrineluck, but have not received a response: Does the QF come from the lab with this level of creatine? (I tested it a couple months after I purchased it)? Does it normally degrade over time? By opening the bottle of QF in order to test it, am I exposing it to contaminates that cause the creatine levels to degrade? Is the constant heating and reheating causing this(I am subject to randoms, my sample is almost always at temp)? Am I just being paranoid? I purchased a new bottle, but until I know it's safe to, I dont want to test it's validity, or handle more than needed. Any advice on the subject???

QF 4.0 will pass creatinine clearance checks. If you do a search you can find some posts by Lew Scannon about how to read the codes on the bottle to determine expiration. The heating and cooling should not effect it.
