have been a daily light? smoker for the past 8 years or so. Mostly mid-grade, sometimes kind. By light I mean an 1/8 would last me 10-14 days. (I would assume that's light) 2 weeks ago I quit because of the potential of being drug tested for a hospital job. I assume that's included in their "health
screening". The possible test comes next week. I did an "at home" test from Walgreen's a few minutes ago and it it came out negative. I am female, 5'2" 130 lbs, workout 4x a week, and eat pretty healthy. Not thin, but not fat. (lift light weights) I must also add that I urinate alot because I drink alot of water on a regular basis-48oz a day. I take GNC ultra-mega vitamins every day (anti-oxidants?) I realize the metabolites are stored in the fat but maybe the frequent urinating helps rid the toxins quicker. Just thought I would post this because the posts I read in the past were very helpful. Not sure if I have anything to worry about. Also, I would be leery about relying on a de-tox drink and from what I've read, dilution plus vitamin and aspirin works just as well. I've read that the home tests a pretty accurate. Just surprised I came out clean after 2 weeks. Feedback? I'd appriate any informed responses.

I have a drug test alsmost every 2 weeks. With that I can smoke for a week stay clean for another then on the day of the test do the dilution tech. It always works like a beauty!!

Is that a combination of you having a fast metabolism in conjunction with bringing the metabolite level down enough with the dilution that you pass?

I was really surprised when the at home test came up negative for me (though it was a faint pink line they say even a faint line is a neg result) after only 2 wks because I've been smoking for so long and I didnt drink an abnormal amount of water before hand. I must have a fast metabolism.
I wish I could get this test over with. Wont know exactly when I have to take it til at least tomorrow.

I did a home test (as a dry run for a possible upcoming test) and came up negative after 2 wks. I was very surprised because I've smoking for so long. I didnt get the job but I will do the dilution method when the time comes. I started smokin again a few days ago..he he

When you say you've smoked for so long....how long is so long? And how often? What's your height/weight? Just curious considering you were negative after only two weeks...wonder if there's some hope for me after all

I have been a light smoker alomost every day for about 7 yrs. I assume light is less than 1/8th a week. (Correct me if that is not light). 5'2" female 135 lbs. I exercise 4 times a week and lift light weights. I urinate frequently because I drink a lot of water. (Not sure if that helps) I did the at home test and the test line was faint pink after 2 wks of abstaining. They say if even a faint line is negative.

I have been a smoker for at least 13 years now. I used to only smoke on weekends, or just here and there. For the past 4 years I've smoked every single day, and more on weekends. I had a drug test about a year ago that I passed in 14 days with the dilution method. I don't work out, I have an office job and I could stand to lose about 15-20 lbs. I'm also in my 30s so I'm sure my metabolism is slower now than it used to be. My stomach reacts terribly to aspirin, but I followed N2's instructions exactly (with the exception of the aspirin). I probably drank more water than I really needed to, but hell if I was going to take a chance!

This time around, I'm a temp at a new job and I found out in order to get hired I've got to take a test. I slowed down on smoking, but haven't really quit. The past 3 weekends I've smoked about 1/8, sometimes a little less of average stuff (Saturday and Sunday only, then nothing the rest of the week.) I found out I have to take my test this week, so I quit last week, Tuesday. I'm taking it in 2 more days so I'll be clean for 8 days total at test time. I took a home test from Walgreens and passed after 5 days. I'm pretty confident you will pass if you follow the directions.

I noticed you are into colors. Some of us have a hard time reading the posts in color, with this backround, that's why I changed it.
Now instead of water use Gatorade and use N2's dillution method w/o aspirin. Eat Salty foods the day before and day of.

Maybe detecting THC should not be the goal of employers. Maybe they should just use the THC test to detect and eliminate people who are so uneducated that they cannot read this site and follow simple directions. Apparently, just from reading a couple of hours, I have discovered that drinking loads of gatorade, taking aspirin and b2 vitamins, you can beat almost any urine test for THC. If you cannot figure that out, maybe you are undesirable for an employer.

Seriously, there are things we can and cannot do during a collection. Following 49CFR, Part 40 regulations, we cannot observe unless you give us cause (off color urine, cold sample, observe a substitution, see an adulterant, etc.). We also cannot frisk you prior to you taking a test. We can ask you to empty your pockets (cell phones, lighters, cigs, chew, keychains, etc..) and remove all outer clothing (coats, sweatshirts, coveralls, hats, etc). We will listen at the door for any unusual sounds, so cellophane or foil sounds are a no-no. We will look into or remove the garbage can so you cannot bury your evidence of tampering. We will ask your friends to stay outside the testing site (I don't know why you bring friends to a test anyway). We will ask that you turn off your phone (I don't have time to wait for you to finish your conversation, I am working here).

Please don't tell me that your sample is cold because you just finished a milkshake. Don't tell me that you were in the same room where someone else was smoking MJ. Don't tell me that blue/green urine color is normal for you. Ladies, we don't care that you are menstrating, that makes no difference in a urine test, if you tell us, we just note that on the form as a possible reason for urine discoloration (red or orange). When I tell you that you have screened positive for THC, if you have smoked ANY in the past 6 weeks, don't try to give me a SHOCKED look. You just end up looking really stupid to us. Just own up to it because I am probably going to send the sample into a lab for confirmation and that will cost the employer more $$ and really pizz him/her off. The only thing that accomplishes is getting you banned from EVER applying at that company again instead of the usual 1 year ban.

Most companies have a policy that if you admit use and seek the use of the Employer Assistance Program PRIOR to testing positive, they will not fire you. They will refer you to counseling or whatever the EAP provides for. IF your Employer catches you using or failing a drug test, usually they will fire you.

Remember, I will get paid whether you fail or pass. The collector really only wants to conduct the test according to protocol and get paid. Thats it. The Collector almost NEVER works for the same company as the Employer OR the Laboratory. The Collector is just the Collector, nothing more. We do not have any special credentials regarding drug use or the effects of different prescriptions.

If you don't give me a reason to look at you closer, I probably won't catch you substituting.

I am a moderate smoker (1/8 will last me about 2-3 weeks). I am about 165lbs, 30 with wicked fast metab (though I have been getting a bit chubby due to my other vices - beer and Jack Daniels). I have a pretty healthy diet - low fat, high protein, etc.

I was clean for about 4 days before taking my pre-employment test with Quest for a killer job. I followed N2's directions with only a few minor mods (I used a Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc supplement to help increase the SG and mixed in Emergen-C with my Gatorade (has more electrolytes)). I also took an extra dose of aspirin. I took the creatine at double the loading phase strength right up until the time of the test.

The night before, I drank a few beers and tested positive on a First Check test. The day of my test (3PM test time), I started the process at about 9 AM so I could get an extra dose of aspirin in since I never did a practice run. Did a home test at 11AM - passed with a solid line. Urine was normal yellow color (not vitamin yellow!). Tested myself again at 2PM - passed with a solid line. Urine looked like I never did a thing!

I am super confident I passed the test with no problems. The test was ordered by my headhunter at the request of the hiring company so I am not worried about dilluted results though don't expect that anyway - no way this guy is giving up $30K in commission, negative is negative.

Even though I haven't been told for sure, I am not a risk adverse person so I am toking a bowl before I sit down with a good book! Worse case - I have to dillute again.
